My husband loves posole, even with chicken. There are a couple of rainy days next week. That would hit the spot.

Mmmmm, fiction. My favorite!

The family ate dinner without me because I was at work late, so I made a salad that I had with some sardines. Apparently my daughter didnít want me to eat alone so she brought a couple of friends to watch me eat.

My husband likes pozole with different meats - chicken, pork, beef, tripe... I'm partial to pozole verde with the usual vegetables and sometimes different types of seafood (like last night's crab meat), but I was sharing it with a neighbor who doesn't care for salsa verde so I made it separate. I added it to mine, no biggie.

I'm VERY glad your area is getting some rain, too.

How sweet that your daughter provided dinner guests!

A garlicky, lemony massaged kale salad with roasted pine nuts.

Royal extra long grain basmati rice, tahdig style.

Baby back pork ribs, first grilled on the barbecue then marinated in homemade sauce and finished (slow and low) in the oven until fall off the bone tender.

Teucher truffles for me for dessert, dark chocolate for my husband, son is skipping dessert, and daughter having Circus Animal cookies.

Cheap but tasty red Zinfandel for the grown ups.

Mmmmm, fiction. My favorite!
