OMG! What a rude question.
Ok now that you looked. How much did you spend on Convention? I did not get to go this year but it looks like my kind of fun, so we are really thinking about going next year. Course I will have to bring my handsome husband.
So here are my questions...
1) How much did you spend all told?
2) Which days were dressy days?
3) Did anyone take their kids?
4) Did anyone take their pet?

Anyone else got questions or anyone willing to answer my question?

Even though my trip was paid for by Brent ( lodging ,convention registration & $500 for related expenses) we still spent 1,000.

But most of it was on alcohol.

I was just kidding. We did spend 1,000 with car rental, gas. food, souveneirs , dh went to the casino and lost and not to mention how expensive the Fairmont was. DH also had to go to the doctors down there , medication. It all added up.

That also included my clothes shopping spree before I left.

Lets see.
$114. plus taxes for the room. (stayed 3 nights, won a free night, so paid for 2 but had a room mate & we split the cost.)
$75 for the rental car. (again split cost with roomie, plus we had a discount code for a free day so it was $75 each) WELL WORTH IT!!
$20. I spent on snail mail sweeping supplies.
$50. for food (ate at off site locations)
$250 Airfare was the most. I waited too long & ended up paying more than if I would have if I had purchased it sooner, nonstop flight from St Louis to Phoenix. Next year I will be driving.
$90 at the spa for a pedicure. (which got me free run of the spa facillities all day! Wow was that great!!) Found out that if I had signed up for the hotel's presidents club (which is free) I could have had the use of the spa facilities for free everyday I was there! The spa had a roof top pool, a heated waterfall pool...
PLUS the
$155 convention fee.

So not too bad, if you subtract the splurge of the spa & sweeping supplies.

LUCK & LOVE!

I'm hoping to get by much cheaper on the next one, as I am driving to Dearborn & will probably drive to the 2008 one in San Antonio too. Plus as long as I stay away from spa's & gift shops, I should be ok! This year was a major splurg for me, but it was so worth it!! My advice to anyone who sweeps regularly is to go to at least 1 convention, just for the motivation & to realize you are not alone! One of the speakers at the event this year said that NOONE knew what she did. She didn't talk about it, nor tell anyone anything about it, outside of her family & a club she goes to.

LOL on the alcohol jofo. How could you NOT spend that much at the Princess for almost a week! lol lol

The Princess was absolutely beautiful, beyond my comprehension because I've never been in cactus-land.

I have no idea what I spent, I haven't looked yet. But I won a grand on Saturday night so I think the trip was paid for!

No kids, no pets. SO's are welcome but if not into the sweeps scene they might be bored. And do you want to party with hubby, or without hubby? It's a vacation for you. Do what you will.

The Banquet advises dress-up but also says wear what's comfortable for you. The clothing for Detroit in June will probably be much different than the clothing in Phoenix. Hotter than Hot in Scottsdale.

The rest of the days tend to be casual dress; shorts, jeans, skirts, dresses. boas. etc and whatever!

Hope I sort of answered your questions.

Room and food bill
We spent close to $1,000 on our room and food bill for two of us and that was staying there from Wednesday through Monday. Ate a few of the meals at the hotel which were definately on the expensive side and out of the norm from the past conventions. Then add on the airfare and registration fee. I'd say the trip for the two of us total was around $2,000. Really not bad for a really, really nice vacation and a stay at a hotel of which I don't think I will ever see the likes of again. It was absolutely beautiful there.
