Yes, $5 dollars about 25 years ago and I proudly declared that under the prize category
on my 1040 IRS form.

How do you like that? After I posted on here today, went over to Say and Win and won another $1 code to Amazon. Hadn't won from it in a couple of weeks, so am happy. The occasional dollar here, dollar there has turned into enough money for me to buy my husband a couple of books.

I was unaware they had lesser prizes. What do you guys mean you may be a winner. Do they send an email saying you may be a winner. I got one of those one time but deleted it because i thought it was another one of their emails trying to get you to sign up for more offers.

They used to send envelopes to the house with big letters saying "You may already be a winner" and "you have won" (if you have the winning numbers) and in those days they worded their letters in such a way that too many people thought they had won. It became a legal thing and they had to stop implying that.

Never! And I am one of those fools who sends the envelope back to them with NO order. Probably for 25 years now and nothing at all!

One of the folks that I worked with in WA state won one of the smaller prizes. But the prize patrol did show up at the hospital and shots of the award were in the commercials for a while. Everybody who ended up in the ad got about $100 for being on air.

Cool
I wonder if the big winners were people who actually ordered those terrible items they try to sell with every entry.

I get tons of e-mails from them and each one looks like I am one step closer to winning - all I need to do is pick between annual installments and the big check, and verify my address. Of course I have the pleasure of choosing the latest singing ashtray or the newest designer snuggy for my dog before I am done claiming my fortune.

I really need to unsubscribe from those things!
