my cousin lost his house

Oh i just want to vent, my cousin just came here to NY from San Diego after living there for 30 years because he lost his HUGE house, his HUGE music businesss and had to short sell his house and sell his furniture and all. I feel SICK about this. He and his doggie dont have a thing left. What do i SAY to him? How can i help him??? 50 years old and living in his sisters room with his dog with no unemployment (he had his own music recording business) nothing left. What CAN I DO?????

I don't think you can say much really, just give him a hug and let him know you'll be there if he needs anything.

He'll bounce back, anyone who had their own music business must be smart. Bad things happen sometimes, unfortunately, but I bet he'll make a full recovery.

I'll keep him in my prayers.

I went through the same thing 5 years ago. Just let him know that life goes on, there will be good times ahead. just take it one day at a time, and appreciate life and all those around you.

Just be there for him if he needs to talk,vent,cry.I am sorry that happened to him.

I am so sorry to hear that...just be there for him and let him know that it will get better...right now it doesn't seem like it but in time it will...

thanks all you guys. i took my cousin to get things for his dog, that got attacked as soon as they got to ny by his sisters dog, took him to the vet, drove him around where he needed to go and let him talk. He is exhausted. I offered him my car for a week since my doggie Emme is having 7 puppies any second...Thanks for your ideas!
