Next Food Network Star
I didn't get to see the final episode of The Next Food Network Star last night. Who won? I'm hoping it was Jason.

Final is next week. Down to final 3 who made pilots last night-they brought Corey back as the Redemption winner and he Rusty, and Jason are the final 3. They dumped Matthew last night for which I was glad.

Thanks! I was thinking last night was the final. Glad Matthew went home, too. I don't like his attitude.

I was actually shocked that Matthew got dumped, but happy about it. I really thought that Rusty screwing up his video was going to cost him.

I thought that Rusty would be leaving too.

I can't believe they kept Rusty. Maybe they kept him because he is Guy's buddy.

I thought they would get rid of Rusty and keep Matt last episode too. I am not too thrilled with the last 3 there, but I guess I would choose Jason since he is different than other winners. I really liked Amy though. I think she would've had a great show with a very relatable personality.

I have watched every FNS since season 2 when Guy won. Guy had a melt down they had to talk him into staying, as part of the show. I was wondering then, if Food Network already knew who they wanted. That being aside, I have questioned, every year, if the best person won or if it was tainted. I've never figured it out. Few of the winners get a prime show, but most get secondary shows or appear as judges, etc.
I would vote for Jason because his talents are diverse (he won the Food Network Christmas Baking Challenge) and his personality is so special. But because the finalists are all male, I was wondering if they are looking for a "Man's Man." Cory's "fishing with grandpa" was well received. Then, Guy is trying to get Cory to look more roughed up or rugged in the demo.

Of the three finalists, Jason would be the only one who I would actually watch.

He has good cooking skills and is quite the character.

I agree but I am still skeptical. He would be competing with Guy's personality and from what I have read, Guy is the major money maker.

I think Jason has a 'Paula Dean' style, which the network might be looking for.

No competition for Guy, who is a unique character in himself.

Yes, I think his personality, so far, is better than Paula's.

I watched and was very happy with the decision as he was my #1 pick (Cory was #2).

I thought Rusty had the best pilot. Perhaps that is why he made it to #2. Glad Jason won.
