Just make sure she knows that she does *not* have to order anything. I love browsing the ad inserts and entering through the mail.

I remember in the 90's my grandma getting fake costume jewelry from PCH. I am not sure how she got it. Maybe she paid something

One of my uncles won $1,000 from PCH some years back.

The odds are not good, but a postcard is still cheaper than a lottery ticket.

They're legitimate, but the odds of winning are pitiful.

I entered with them until they started the online stuff - the odds were bad before, but now they're just too much for me.

Still getting their snail mail stuff which I file in the trash.

Tell your Mom I entered for 20 years straight and never won a thing. I do, however, have a lot of junk that I bought from them.

Apparently they are legit as far as delivering prizes, but I consider them scammy due to all the pages of offers you need to reject to enter online. I just checked to see if they are still the same. Sure enough, I had to go through about 20 pages of offers to submit my entry. That type entry could be very confusing for some people, and I think PCH designs it that way to increase the amount of people who end up filling out the wrong form.

They also mail out scammy personalized "official sweepstakes documents" that could be confusing to people not savvy with their misleading wording and how they operate. Below is just one example I found online. The whole envelope is full of stuff like that. Even the envelope itself has warnings, announcements, and so on.

I do have a soft spot for PCH, though. When I was a kid, I loved getting the mail-in entry ready. Back then, they had stickers of different prize choices, so I would pick out the prizes, stick all the stickers. It was the only sweepstakes I knew about back then!

Enter as often as you like
From their official rules:
"You don't have to wait for us to mail you an entry form. You may submit additional entries simply by writing us...Each time you write to us you will be entered once into each ongoing Sweepstakes. Each entry request must be mailed separately."

Funny you all should mention it... I received something in the mail from them last week. It has been a very long time since they sent one to me and I never mailed them in before but this time I had time to make sure I sticked all the right stickers to not buy something and hopefully win that cash prize Afterall, they are promising that someone in my area will win something hee hee
