And it wasn't even a large size candy bar. It was the size of the ones I buy at the store for like two or three dollars!

I just can't believe the waste and cost involved in packing up a candy bar to send it UPS.
I got that too yesterday and when my husband asked what I got he said "You are kidding right" No I'm serious and why not just send a coupon in the mail is beyond me. Such a waste of money and time wrapping it all and sending it.

Also, this was the first UPS package that has arrived without me first getting a UPS alert since I joined MyChoice in Oct 2011. Anyone get an UPS alert for this package?
I didn't get a UPS Alert either, so it was definately a suprise.

Well. Listen to this...
I got the same ridiculous five pound package as TawnyNY but mine didn't have the candy bar in it. Just the award letter saying that I had won one and the dollar off coupon but they never included the candy bar It was sealed up like Fort Knox. All that postage for nothing. My gel ice packs were all completely melted.

Mine arrived in the afternoon melted in the 108 degree heat, put in the fridge. What a waste in pkging materials.

It did seem like a ridiculous amount of packaging for a 3.5oz candy bar but I was still thankful for the the prize.

This is pretty much how I felt too.

I have to admit when I saw the big box I was all excited. Then I kept unwrapping these freezy things thinking what is this?? Then I saw the one candy bar. I looked back in the box thinking I must have missed the rest of the prize.

It was a tasty candy bar..so overall a good win.

Maybe they figured this was better than free coupons, since so many grocery stores hassle people about them lately.

Nice win though!! Congratulations!

I debated about posting it because I didn't want to come off as an ungrateful, spoiled sweeper. But when you get it and imagine the box is big enough to hold an ipad, than yea think you would feel kind of tricked too.

I received an alert yesterday saying it would be delivered today and it didn't show up. I am assuming that this is the prize because it says it is 5# and coming from Lindt. Maybe tomorrow?

They did have one good reason for not sending coupons.

These wins were for one of their NEW flavors of chocolate bars.
While they may be available in the Lindt stores, they aren't yet available in grocery stores, etc.

Still a waste of packaging, but it IS a good reason to actually send the bar.

I got an alert yesterday, too. On the UPS site, the tracking says "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

My alerts used to always be accurate, but this is the 2nd one in a row that has been off.
