How are you typically notified of a win?
I've never won anything so I assume it's either by email or a phone call, but I see posts of FedEx/UPS alerts for unknown prizes. I want to make sure I recognize a win when I win my new car.

Thanks!

Sometimes they just show up unannounced.

IIRC, everything that I won over $1000 resulted in first contact via phone or it was contest oriented and I knew that I won or was going to win. Most of the rest has either just showed up or via email.

If the prize is big enough, they ambush visit you (e.g. HGTV).

Don't forget Twitter DM, Facebook message, Youtube message, tumblr message, whatever other similar website you might enter on, and then sometimes sites will post the winners and you have to go see if you won.

My biggest wins - a playground, 5400 - came email.
My coke for a year + vacation came email.

I only got one by phone, that was my Sonic Firewall.
My grill came in a regular letter - I would have thrown it away if I weren't a sweeper I bet - in fact, 2-3 of my wins have come like that - in letters that look like junk mail.

Coke always comes email for me, as does eprize.

I like them BEST when they come email.

Most of my win notifications have been by email. I've gotten two winning phone calls. I was notified of my biggest win by a letter in the mail. I've had a couple of prizes that showed up without notice.

Nearly all the time it's by email. Frequently I get surprise wins through the mail, sometimes with UPS alerts. Twitter DMs, Facebook messages, announcements on the sponsor's sites, letters, and phone calls occasionally happen. Of my largest prizes, all were email except one phone call.

My biggest win ($10,000) came via email, and ended up in my spam folder. It didn't have congratulations or winner in the subject line, just the name of the sweepstakes. Make sure you check your spam folder every day.

I don't play games or do voting, just strictly sweepstaking. If you follow me on twitter, please let me know you're from OLS & I'll follow back.

Nothing has been consistent.. email, phone, or Fed Ex... and things that don't require filling out paperwork can come unannounced.

Example of a winning email that is NOT a win.. look under General Sweepstakes Discussion : scams and flim-flams...

You can familiarize yourself with what scam emails are.. they do get tricky..

If you have questions... don't hesitate to post here and ask!!!

Rule of thumb, you should know what sweepstakes you enter and that way you can verify since a win should come with the name of the sweeps.

No win ever asks for money, credit card, bank info!!!

Time to win, win, win!!
