That's just wrong on so many levels. First serving spoiled chicken, then firing someone who refuses to do so?

Unhappy
Almost makes me afraid of fast food restaurants. I quit going to Applebee's for years when someone found a horned toad head in a salad at my local restaurant. And, I almost never go to Wendy's, which I used to love, when it was reported that inspectors had found rat hair in the hamburger meat.

OMG, a horned toad head? Memories from my youth...they were everywhere. So cute I even rescued a few and kept as 'pets'. OMG, I can't imagine a head in a salad. How did that happen?

Most food products have various forms of rodent infestation including feces.

Also the FDA allows for a certain amount of hairs, bugs, etc. in food.

I thought Wendy's was considered one of the safer bets, because all they basically do is to reheat. Nothing is made on premise so it is cleaner. I thought I saw that on a 20/20 or something. It is when you start making things from scratch, that you get into trouble. Actually, I think fast food places would be the safest of all. Mom and Pop restaurants are sketchy.

It grossed me years ago , to find out how many insect parts and feces were allowed in chocolate , but it didn't keep me from eating one of my favorite foods. Now starbucks strawberry frappe, with the insect coloring, YUCK. They color it with insects to give it that pink color.

Due to public pressure, Starbucks has discontinued use of Carmine (red food coloring made from crushed insects). Personally, I think I prefer bugs to some of those other commonly used FDA 'approved' food colorings.

If everyone knew how much of it was in their flour, they would never eat bread again, or maybe not.

Cochineal is highly preferable to carcinogenic artificial red dyes.

A friend of mine has told me a similar story about her work experience at KFC for years and years. She said she pointed out to her manager that the chicken was a little "rank" and her manager told her, "go ahead and cook it - just cook it a little longer, it will be fine". She refused to do so, they had words and she quit over it.

She never eats at KFC because of this incident.
