Aurilee, just start with the http:// and keep going. It will look like this:
http://www.gotalife.com/sweeps/

When you are done, it will appear as a different color than the rest of your post. Good luck!

I am so good at messing them up, I have started doing the following: When I find a good sweep that I THINK is new, I select the address on my location bar, go to edit to copy, then paste here. Obviously, I do not have a talent for explaining things, but, essentially, " copy and paste".

Just to add to Joni's post (experienced computer folks don't spank me for whipping an obviously dead horse) but with any Windows system, all those copy + paste, or cut + paste functions are accessible with right mouse clicks. So any URL you want to copy (be it to a New Contests post at this forum, or to make an entry in your Sweeps software) you can just highlight the URL in you address window (in IE, or location window in Netscape) and right click, then select "copy," which puts in on your (hidden) clipboard. Then you highlight where you want to put it, right click, and select "paste." Voila! If you're trying to add my email addy to your referrals *g* you'd do the same thing by highlighting "gcomstock@excite.com" without the "quotemarks" Same technique works great for lifting big hunks of copy to load into the translator at Alta Vista, or any copy editing job you're trying to do.

If you've installed the Robo Form Filler, it's also listed in your right mouse click options.

I like keyboard shortcuts whenever possible, but I'm usually online with my touchpad equipped laptop, so a right mouse click is nearly as convenient as a keyboard shortcut. Oh well, I've got cartoons to drink, beer to watch...and sweeps entries to clean up on...so I'm off. ~Geo.

Thanks everyone. I'll give it a try. Sure is nice having such a helpful group, and getting bigger each day.
