5th Annual Summer Road Trip!

We're celebratin' our 5th anniversary of road trippin' on this summer's road trip and we'd love to celebrate with as many of our fellow OLS'ers as possible! We've had tons of fun and made lots of friends from our previous road trips and we're lookin' to meet up with as many OLS'ers as we can this summer - whether it's to meet up for a cup of coffee, a place to crash or a big OLS GTG.

First of all thanks to all the OLS'ers who offered us a place to crash, who want to meet up and who made some great suggestions on where to go/what to see - y'all ROCK!


We're workin' on finalizin' our road trip plans and will be in contact this week with all those who are lettin' us crash at their place and those who want to meet up - if for some reason we don't contact you please PM me or BakedAlaska.

This years big road trip will be taking us thru various parts of these states and the District Of Columbia - MN, IA, IL, IN, OH, VA, MD, SC, NC, FL, GA, MO, KY, WV, DE, DC, TN, WI. Some of the cities we think we'll be going thru are - Mpls, Des Moines, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, District Of Columbia, Savannah and many many more!


We're lookin' to meet lotsa AWESOME OLS'ers, places to stay, lotsa cool attractions to see, eat lotsa great food and have lotsa FUN FUN FUN!


Please post in this thread with your suggestions and/or questions. Also feel free to PM me or BakedAlaska with your suggestions and/or questions!


We've had some real generous OLS'ers in the past let us crash at their place for a nite or 2. If you have some room to spare please let us know. We aren't high maintenence and don't require much to make us happy - a place to crash, internet access, shower facilities and time for mornin' coffee would be great! *


We also love to meet up with OLS'ers for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee etc - if you would like to meet up but don't have much time let us know and we'll see if we can work it into our travel routes.

If you know of some great attractions, great restaurants etc in your area please post and let us know. From previous road trip threads you can see that we're up for visiting everything from the wild and wacky to the historical and willin' to eat just about anything! -

If you are near Holiday, Florida you all are welcome to stay here... You could go to the Cajun Cafe for some gator..Good stuff

I'm in Columbus,OH !! There are lots of things to do here.. cosi.org minor league baseball games etc and FOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDD let me know if you come this way.

AWESOME - Baked will be touch soon! I think the Tampa area would be as far south as we'll get in Florida on this trip. But don't be sad southern Floridians - we should be back in Florida in 2014 to check out all of Florida!

Your annual trips have become a highlight of the forums. I enjoy living vicariosuly through your adventures.

Have you set a record of meeting the most OLS members? I respect you enjoyment of life and it was a pleasure meeting you for such a short period.
