My thoughts

This was my first sweepstakes convention, and I loved it!!

I can't wait to go to next years big convention after meeting such wonderful people! and oh my it was so exciting! :cheer7: the prizes, the people that spoke gave great tips, sharing with fellow sweepers... it was so much fun and very interesting too. I hope I can get the vacation time!

I just want to say thank you to Carol for organizing everything, to KB, Tom, Rob and wife, Debbie, the Georgia Peaches (Denise and Denice), prezli and some other people I met there that hopefully will join or be more active now.. THANK YOU! for making me feel so welcome and Dh too :) He had a good time too! and I think he has caugh the sweeping bug

I will post some pictures when I download them.
:gvibes:

The sweeping bug continues.....

Just wanted to let everyone know that John, my BF, my DJ partner, and the DJ at the Convention has now been bitten by the sweeping bug as a result of you guys at the convention!! He only does online entries (and I am the Jedi master when it comes to 1PH's) and only from this OLS website. I upgraded him to premium as soon as he passed me in daily entries. Now he is on my back to see what date I am entering. Cool huh?

He was very reluctant to go amongst a bunch of eccentric folks like myself, but you all made him, my son and my brother very welcome. Thanks.

That's fantastic Carol! He did a very nice job ...as did all of Carol's Clan. It's exciting to get someone hooked on sweeping, because half of the people I tell about sweeping aren't interested. They become highly perturbed when I mention my wins, so I usually keep the good news to myself.

And, I myself, have turned into my own DJ...spinning the hits on the computer. This beats the old jukebox (Yahoo) and if ya like the oldies, you'll appreciate this link:

I found it by checking out someone's link here on OLS. I forget who the member was. :(

Well we are all sitting here anxiously to hear from you guys about the next convention. As you know, I've already been spreading the word. Can't wait...... :cheer7:

Did I hear it will be in Hershey? When? I would SO love to make it this year! No big summer plans so we could probably afford to go!

It will be in Grantville, PA which is near Hershey. We're looking at the last weekend of October 2007. Still ironing out some details with the hotel. :) I will have more information soon

We're allowing a maximum of 250 registrants. Last year, I think Carol had close to that number. More details will follow at http://www.hersheyminiconvention.com

We had 214 registered for last year's convention. From the feedback I am sure that most will be attending again. All were impressed with the cost of the hotel and the registration fees. We did get a lot done and a lot from the hotel for the money. Just read the reviews that are listed under the 2006 convention link for their feedback.

I am sure Patty, Rob and his group will do an even better job this year.
