Quick update on my vacation while I'm here...
OK, first off, Hello again everyone. Hope y'all are doing well and have hade a Merry Christmas.
Sunday Dec 21st...Polish Christmas with my neighbors (they treat my wife and I like part of the family)
Had a great time, we almost missed it though. Wife and I were out shopping and figured the dinner would be around 5ish...we were wrong. Showed up about an hour late..oops. But they were great though. Terrific family and best neighbors anyone could have. Afterwards, went home and started to do some woodworking. Wound up at the Emergency Room though at the end of the night to get a piece of wood out of my eye...no major harm done
Monday Dec 22nd...BIG DAY...Going to NYC, Rockafeller Center, etc...and Madison Square Garden to watch the NEW YORK RANGERS kick the crap out of the Boston Bruins!
So, we went into the city. Wife wanted to take me to a McDonald's we had seen on FoodTV otr the Travel Channel. They were supposed to have a doorman, waiters, pianist, etc...WRONG!!! Either they did it just for the TV show or they had recently gotten rid of it 'cause the only thing there was a pianist (very good though) No waiters or doorman. You had to get the food for yourselfand they put it in a bag, no trays! The thing that really ticks me off is that we would have eaten at any of the other 8 Mickey D's we had passed on the way down Broadway to get to nthis "fancy" one we saw on TV.
But anyway, Rangers game was great. They won 4-2 like I predicted. :cool2: . Went to Macy's, saw Santa and did some shopping. Awesome sales and my wife bought a beautiful sweater for herself. On our way out we drove past the Christmas tree from Connecticut in Rockafeller Center.
Tuesday Dec 23rd...last minute Christmas shopping
Wednesday Dec 24th...going to Boston for a family gathering
Had a great time there. Terrible weather to drive in though. But a very nice get-together. I got some cool gifts too.
Thursday Dec 25th...enjoying most of Christmas with my wife 'cause my vacation is getting interrupted by work tonight. Damn!
Yep, in about 20 minutes I'll be heading home to come back into work 1 more night before continuing on with my vacation!
Can't wait to get my little girl...Y'all have a Happy New Year!
