Who gives/gets fruitcake?

Do you give it? If you get it, don't you just want to regift it? (yuck) When we have another membership raffle I have a feeling there will be fruitcakes up for grabs.

I have never given, nor received a fruitcake. As a matter of fact, I am proud to proclaim that I have never even tasted one.

i am one of the few that never receives it,and i like it! i never give it since it has such a horrible stigma attached to it,usually just a tin of cookies

I guess I'm in the minority, I too like fruitcake! However there is a certain type that I really like, it's made in Texas. I don't know the company name the tin has bluebonnets on it. But it is so moist and doesn't have any citron in it, which can make a fruitcake taste yucky. It has lots of nuts, pineapple and cherries in it, so yummy!

Many years ago my cousins in Ok. would sell it for their band fund-raising and then another cousin in Mo. did the same thing (that's how I came to know about this fruitcake).

If you don't like fruitcake, it may be because of the citron. If given a chance this fruitcake made in Tx. (wish I knew the name of it) may win you over.
