Hi all you out there who are magic makers in the kitchen...
I bought some ground pork with the intention of making egg rolls, but have now decided that making egg rolls is too much hassle for me.
Now I can't figure out what in the heck to do with the ground pork! I've done some surfing to find a recipe, but can't find anything even remotely appetizing.
if you have a recipe that calls for ground pork, and you wouldn't mind sharing it, I would be ever so grateful! I don't want to waste the food, but I need to come up with something quick if i'm gonna use this meat!
Thank you so much for your help!

Ground pork mixed with ground beef makes a great meatloaf.

I make a mock moo shu with ground pork. Cook the meat, drain off fat and remove from skillet. Cook in the skillet with oil a package of julliened mushrooms. Then cook with oil in a skillet the contents of a one pound bag of premade coleslaw. Add the pork and some asian spices [soy, sherry, salt & sugar] and some scallions. Serve in soft flour tortilla shells that have been spread with hoisin sauce.

maybe I am just reading this wrong.???
You can make just about anything with ground pork you could with ground beef. Meatloaf (as said above) Burgers, Sloppy Joes, BBQ sandwiches, SOS (ground meat cooked then added to gravy served over toast - also can be served over mashed potatoes, noodles etc) Many many different things.

You could use it in Lasagne instead of hamburger or sausage.

I would mix it with ground beef and make meatballs. They can be frozen and pulled out and used for entertaining. Sweet & Sour meatballs, BBQ, use with spaghetti and my favorite Italian Wedding Soup YUMMMMY.

Ground pork makes awesome burgers!! Grill just like regular hamburgers.
Like someone posted earlier, you can substitute ground pork for any recipe calling for ground beef. I made "country fried" pattties with the last that I had. They turned out great.

You can use ground Pork in anything that hamburger can be used in. It's awesome in speghetti, Lasagna and on Pizza. You can also add it to you hamburger when making a meat loaf just for something different, or better yet just make up a pot of Chilli and throw it in....mmmmmmm and did you know that ground pork has alot less fat then hamburger! Just a bonus :smile9:
