Just wondering if anyone else is feeling all this holiday pressure. I swear I am ready to take down the decorations and forget all about this year. DH has a fit and complains about the decorations from the day they go up until the day after Christmas when I take them down. DS is 20 years old now and he could care less too. Sort of takes the wind out of your sails.
It seems like the stores are even more pushy this year then the past years I remember. The commericals are ran over and over and they have 3 or more Christmas commercials in a row. The newspapers are full of ads and played on the radio.
Anyone else stressed out over all this?

 Yes, I feel everyone has felt the pressure! We won't have a tree this year..no where to get one free and I don't have the money for one, much less paying all my bills. I lost half my income ..and life goes on, no matter what. I don't have service for my TV so I don't see the commerials..and as far as Christmas?? It's just another day. I don't get any newspapers..no money for them, and I haven't been to a store in ages...My son doesn't understand how hard life can be..and expects to get something, but wins have been non-exsistant so he will not a have a christmas either. I haven't put up decorations no reason too in this time of troubles. I will just keep doing day to day life..and trying my best. I have a lot to be thankful for. My son, I'm breathing, and OS!!

I'd be really tempted to take down the decorations and ignore the whole holiday season!

Yes it seems every year I am pulled in so many different directions that I am happy when Jan 1st is here and we can all get back to normal at my house and in my family.

Yes, I am just not feeling the spirit this year really. :( I feel so badly about that, especially w/ my kiddos but they don't understand Christmas and the like anyway.
{{HUGS}} to all, hope you all feel the joyous season that is upon us.. :D

I was feeling a little panicky about not having anything ready this year. I put up my fake pre-lit tree and my 5 zillion ornaments on it yesterday, and got my Teddy Ruxpin teddy bear dressed in his Santa suit in a chair by the tree.
Today I went to Target and found several nice things for the granddaughters and my daughter. She loves Target so I got a gift certficate for her, aong with a really cute warm jogging suit and new pj's abd a couple tops.
My son just wants money, so I got him the standard boxer set and socks, and a gift certificate for each for he and his girlfriend at the Japanese restaurant they like, so they can knock themselves out buying their after-holiday sushi. They'll each get some scratcher tickets in their stockings and a little money.
I found some things for my sister and now I'm staring at all the stuff I have to wrap and think I'll take a nap now.

Me? Pressure? :goofy3: :uhoh: :cry2:
No, no pressure.... HA!!!! Man, my DH is the grinch himself! He complained about the way I decorated the tree (too Martha Stewart-y), complained about the way I decorated the bush outside (lights are on crooked - hello? It's a 6 foot tall bush about 4 feet around butt up to a fence, so I can't get all the way around it and I am too short to reach the top!), and then complained about the munchies I am going to make to give away to co-workers. Made me want to just shove it all up....never mind! :halo:
And then today I was going through all our bills trying to decide when and how we will be able to buy presents (thankfully family x-mas party is weekend after the big day, I can cheat a little then and hit all the friday sales!) when he tells me not to worry, I don't have to buy anything for him. HA! That's a joke. I can see him now pouting under the tree like a 3 year old when Santa didn't bring him anything! Anyone know how to gently break the 'news' about Santa to a 40 year old?
