Hows the weather in Oregon in March?
My husband and I are planning a road trip in March from Texas...
is it snowing?
We are actually going to Christmas Valley.
Do you think we could make it by car in March?
thanks much

Oregon's weather is unpredictable especially in the Spring.
The Western half rains alot but the roads are usually good for traveling.
However here on the Eastern side we do get snow and sometimes they close the passes because of it.
If you go through Idaho you'll go up I5 through all of Eastern Oregon and down the Columbia River Gorge, which is a beautiful drive.
We had snow a week ago here in Baker but it has since melted and warmed up to almost 40 degree's.
Which ever way you travel I'm sure you'll do fine.
~~~Have a great trip and Welcome to Oregon!~~~
Just wanted to stop in and say :hello: to my neighbors to the west of me, I am just over the border in Idaho.
Have to say also that I have been to every town so far that has been mentioned. Love Oregon, beautiful state, go there at least once a week or so shopping and whatnot.
Baker City, get there a minimum of 3 times a year, we camp up in Sumpter and my parents do the flea market
Bend, spent a wonderful summer there as a kid camping, had my first kiss there (shhh!)
Winston and Roseburg we were just at this last summer, had to visit the drive thru animal park in Winston and stayed in Roseburg.
Driving over the the coast is our vacation every other year, last year we found a sick baby seal, it was so sad leaving just knowing it wasn't going to make it (yes, we notified them and they already knew, just was going to let nature take its course...sad).
It amazes me just how small the world is sometimes. Wonder if any of my neighbors in my small town come here?
Hello all you fellow Oregonian's and Nickyle in Idaho.
Nice to meet ya.
I love the coast also and plan on living there someday.
That is so sad about the sick baby seal, doesn't seem right that they couldn't do something to help him.
The Sumpter Flea Market is fun! We go there every year to look for bargain's.
Thanks for all the reply's. :)
