I was moved at the age of 17 kicking and screaming from my N.Y. home. I also live in Glen Cove Long Island for awhile. My mom was sick and couldn't take the cold weather so she moved to St. Petersburg, FL. Now that I'm getting older I'm glad I'm warm in the winter and my kids don't have to drive on ice. BUT I STILL MISS N.Y. :supstar:

I live in NYC but spend tons of time in Greenwood Lake (Orange/Rockland/NJ border) with my family.

And until you live in the city, you don't know what taxes are! Not to mention rent...or utilities...or food...

My husband and I were both born and raised in Buffalo (suburbs actually), but we graduated from college and moved to lovely VA, where we get a little snow, not a lot of snow!!!! I miss all of the fabulous ethnic foods we used to enjoy in Buffalo, there is nothing like it down here, that's for sure.

But the BBQ is good!!! :yummy:

My folks used to own a summer home in Edinburg! I vacationed on the Sacandaga every summer and winter too (and in between). Our house was right across from the Tumble Inn. Used to go into Northville or Broadalbin for a little excitement...LOL.
I live on Long Island...always haveand probably always will!
