Grand Prize (ARV approx $1300):

Lodging for 2 at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel, Minneapolis South (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1493) September 2-5, 2010
Admission for 2 to the convention
$500 for expenses (transportation, meals, etc.) that must be picked up from Brent at the convention.

Official Rules:

Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Must be an active OLS member, in good standing, that registered on or before 6/13/10.
Must be a resident of the US or Canada. Void where prohibited.
Must attend the 2010 National Sweepstakes Convention in Bloomington, MN Sept 2-5, 2010
Limit one entry per person.
Entry period ends on Wednesday June 30, 2010 at 11:59pm ET. Winner will be chosen via a random drawing, from all eligible entries within 72 hours after the close of the entry period. Winner will be contacted by private message and/or email and will have 24 hours to claim.
No substitution or transfer of prizes will be permitted. There will be no cash alternative.

There are way too many reasons to list here, but the main one is because first meeting Brent, KB and many other OLSers as well as other sweepers out in Moline, I haven't been able to pass a national up since.

I love the sweeper's convention, because it's a wonderful opportunity to see old friends and meet news one. It's a chance to hopefully win some wonderful and fun prizes that are given out. It's also a time to learn more about this wonderful hobby, so that the winning can hopefully continue once I return home.

The natural thing to say here is that I would love to attend the convention because I still have so much to learn about sweeping even though I've been doing this for more than half of my life. But while although that is true, it wouldn't be the whole truth.

I would love to attend this convention for the sheer opportunity to meet Brent. I have the highest respect and admiration for the man when it comes to this website. He's kept it going for all these years.... improving it by bits and pieces along the way. I would LOVE LOVE to attend the National Sweepstakes Convention for two reasons:
1. Never under estimate the power of knowledge. The tools, tips and stories of fellow sweepers can help everyone. I feel I could learn if I am wasting time on too many entries, not sending or entering enough, etc. I would love to learn any key points to develop my new hobby.

because I am in the middle of a severe family crisis and I started sweeping again earlier this year to help chase away the blues. I've been putting up with a broken keyboard that's been driving me crazy and still trying to enter as much as I can no matter what and I found out in early May what I believe is the root of the crisis and I believe I am going to have to literally replace everything along with needing the services of maybe a few good lawyers and as a disabled single mom with no real immediate family to help the only way I can do this is by sweeping. I started entering again earlier this year and have been putting up with using a broken keyboard etc. and I have been persistently coming back even if I miss 10 days of entering I am still coming back and guess what i HAVE WON 4 PRIZES in the past month or so and that is about the time I found what's causing the crisis to begin with. I'm literally hanging on by praying and sweeping and I am soooo happy that my friend introduced me to this! This group gives me hope! and even right now everything is really in crsis right now for me and my son (I haven't seen him for 4 months now) but if I didn't go and get a new keyboard this week and mouse which I really couldn't afford I wouldn't have logged on and found this contest! Why do I want to attend a National Sweepstakes Convention? What might I hope to learn?

Over the years I have watched OLS grow and bloom. Each member here is a valuable flower on the OLS Bush. Each one has something wonderful to add. Each year the blooms become more bountiful and new ones are born. With each one new knowledge is added to this bush. As one of these OLS flowers I would love to attend the National Sweepstakes Convention so that I might have the opportunity to meet so many of these wonderful people I have pm'd in the past or conversed with in posts. To put a face with these kind and wonderful people. So many people here have been with me on my ups and down, have congratulated me on my wins and supported me when I have felt sad. In the past two years I have went through a divorce and had to move away from my family to find a job. I've been addicted to OLS for a little over a year now and just can't get enough!

Within the last week I have started my own blog about my local area real estate market as well as other news, reviews and giveaways focusing on the Hampton Roads area of VA.
