As reported by the National Enquirer :http://www.nationalenquirer.com/john_edwards_confesses_its_my_baby_rielle_hunter_elizabeth_edwards_disgrace_mistress_lovechild_nighl ine_presidential_elections/celebrity/66289

"While Edwards has admitted to having an affair with Rielle, he has shamelessly denied fathering her baby, despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. Instead, one of his campaign workers, Andrew Young, claimed to be the dad.

But now, at least in private to his wife, he is finally telling the truth, sources reveal to The ENQUIRER"

*****************************************

I tread careful with believing the contents of the paper, but they have been right in the past. I'm glad he came forward. I hope he steps up and provides fully ( I think he will) for the child.

If this came ffrom any other source, I might believe it. (Not the part about it being his baby, I'm sure it is) but about his confession. How does the Enquirer have access to his conversation with his wife?

Not sure, they must have some kind of informant. I think though I am not positive they were one of the first to break the original story which is why I was thinking it might be true.

I will say that the publication seems much more credible these day as opposed to the version selling when I was a kid.

I wanted to have John Edwards' love child, too. There's just something about him ...

Of course I would not do something with a married man whose wife has cancer EVEN if there might have been some sort of agreement made between he and Elizabeth.

That is just wrong.

I clicked on your link wondering why wasn't this posted in the entertainment forum...?

It's the $500 hair cuts, women ( and some men I'm sure) are powerless against it

Isn't this an old story, a really old story. Elizabeth has already admitted she knows about the affair and as to the father of the baby, good grief, how could she not consider it to be John's unless, of course, he was snipped and she knows it could not be his. However I do believe it is his, who else would ... oh never mind.

Shame, shame John. I used to like him before I didn't.

He admitted to the affair. but denied paternity completely.

I also just want to say I like Edwards but think he's a douchebag for doing this.

I'd be posting the link if it was about any politician I knew ( I'm not as in the know as most of you lol) My posting isn't like a partisan dig or anything. I'm a Dem ( I had to switch from Independs in order to vote in the primary)

That is just wrong. I always preferred my men a little bit on the scruffy side. I could not stand being with a man who had better hair than me.

He admitted to the affair. but denied paternity completely. What would make Edwards deny paternity after he admits to the affair: either stupidity or he really could not have fathered this child. If Edwards had undergone a vasectomy he would be justified in denying paternity. However, this is probably not the case.

I really do suspect that all the attention and fame got to Edwards, so too the pressure of his wife’s illness, leading to this affair. If Edwards had been a cheater before it would have been dug up and aired while he was campaigning. I mean really, if Edwards had any sense (or experience in cheating) would he have picked this loose cannon? -- I doubt it. I'm not excusing Edwards, this was a really stupid move. Not just for Edwards but he let down all his supporters and ended his political career in the process.

All these politicians need to keep their peckers in their pockets. Shameful.

If he is the father, he will never have a chance at a relationship with his daugher if he doesn't do the right thing. She will grow up to dislike him for denying her like that.

I agree. Many women ( and some men but not all) are attracted to "power" which leads to sleeping with bosses etc. It's like they should get a class to deal with having sex thrown at them from every direction.

It's a powerful thing. As a married woman I love my adoring hubby but I won't lie, getting the whistle or compliment from other men makes me twitter and say hot damn my husband isn't the only man on the planet that thinks I'm a hottie lol.

Brushes they are an eyeful, I couldn't help it.
