Birthday Swap Signups - Year 3 begins in January

This will be a two-part swap. You can sign up for one of the parts or both.

The first part of the swap consists of getting 1 swap buddy and being assigned his/her birthday. You will need to spend a minimum of $10 on this person and mail the package at the latest 1 week prior to the birthdate with some sort of tracking. The tracking number must be sent to me via pm.

The second part of the swap consists of receiving a list of the swappers' names, addresses, and birthdays every month. You will be required to send a card to each person who has a birthday in a given month. I will send a list of names and addresses with birthdays the 3rd week of the month prior to the month when due - you won't need to remember since I'll send a new list via pm every month. If a card is not received, another one must be sent. If the 2nd card is not received you will be removed from the swap. I won't badlist you for a card, but you will be out of the swap.

If you are in Both parts of the swap and are removed from one part you will also be removed from the other part.

RULES:

1. You must commit to following through with your agreement to do Part 1, Part 2, or Both Parts by following the rules or else you will be removed from the swap and placed on the badlist.

2. If you do Part 1 of the swap, you must get delivery confirmation for your package and that number must be sent to me via pm. If I do not get some sort of tracking number, you will be removed from the swap, even if a package was sent. For Part 2, if a card is not received, a second one must be sent. If the 2nd one is not received, you will be removed from the swap.

3. You must identify yourself by your OLS name when you send the package and/or cards.

4. You must be willing to send and receive personal messages (pms).

5. You must post in a timely fashion that you received your package and cards. Failure to post will result in your being badlisted.

6. The sign up begins with this post and ends November 30, 2008. Please state your birthdate in the post. You do not need to give the year unless you want to give it out; month and day are fine. When you sign up, please indicate if you want to be part of Part 1, Part 2, or Both. Once you sign up, please send a pm to me with your real name and address. Also, when you sign up, include a list of your likes and dislikes. Remember, this is a birthday swap so it should be all about you and not about family, friends or pets.

7. This swap is open to members in good standing who have been part of OLS for at least one year or have at least 500 posts. It is open to those living in the US only. I made this change since the cost of postage can be too much.

8. The swap begins in January and ends in December. There will be a slight overlap with Swap 2 since there is one birthday in January but none in February.
