Jon and I arrived here in San Antonio yesterday (Thurs) and we are having a wonderful time here at the convention.
We met so many fine people here from OLS and also some great sweepers from all around the country.
These people are so MOTIVATING ... I mean, the creativity and dedication to the hobby is amazing and the things people have won even more amazing.
I was really surprised how many good prizes people have won here - I know our very own Playwanda won a good one today.
The speakers have not disappointing.
Jeffrey, Steve and Judy were really terrific today.
And we even managed to take in The Alamo today.
It's all good - very good!
Gwen and her "posse" have done a very fine job.
Pamcakes and KB are taking some good photos and I am sure they will post them soon.

I am proud to say that I had the honor of meeting THE Cathyveester personally! Woot! And of course all the rest of the OLS peeps. Tinymomo is as colorful in person as in the forums and Pamcakes is one of the most cheerful people I have met. Brent is actually a real wizard walking around behind a curtain....:hairraise.....not really. He is one of the nicest guys you could want to meet, His girlfriend is soo sweet. Taz and KB are........Taz and KB. Can we say fun??! Gabriela is so sweet and I have to say that all the sweepers here are fantastic, but the OLSers are the greatest!!!!! Kiss and Bakedalaska and Littlelulu are always busy finding the bizarre and usual. Can't wait for all the pics! I missed a few names, but all the crew are the best. It is all I expected it to be. :captain: And its only Friday......:joker:

Jon and I just returned back in So California.
We both enjoyed the convention and meeting all the fine people - so many OLSERS and many other nice sweeps "addicts".
I am sorry that we missed meeting OLSPickedNick, Binski, JesterPester, Suzila and a few others that I hoped we would meet. Maybe next time!
.................................................................................................... ..........................
As a nat'l convention novice, the things that surprised me the most about the convention were:
(a) the quality of the speakers - they were really informative and interesting
(b) how many great prizes that are given away
Some of our own OLSERS won cash prizes of $500 each and other great giveaways.
(c) how dedicated and committed (and "addicted") some of the sweepers are
I am definitely looking forward to attending another national sweeps convention!

It was so nice to meet you and Steve, Gmaw.
And what you said about the others is all very true. Nice to meet those fine people, too.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you! We were sitting diagonal from you at the banquet and I noticed your hat. I was going to come over and meet you, but I didn't get a chance to. :( I am glad you had fun though!

I was lucky enough to meet Cathy Veester.
Hard to miss with a hat spelling out her name. Maybe more of us should do that...:)

It was great to meet you, too, Dave W.
As far as the logo hat, I got mine through www.lids.com
You can design your own hat - and get it very quickly.
I hope to see you next year in NH!
