You can reduce it dramatically with Mailwasher you can get it at www.mailwasher.net . This program is FREE and has helped my wife who used to get about 100-150 emails a day, now she only recieves about 10-15.

I am now using it to keep those spammers and bulk emailers from getting in my inbox.

Thanks Lew...does it work with hotmail / yahoo type emails as well? Last time I checked (several months ago) it didn't; and many of us sweepers use those free email services excluslively for sweeps entries.

Good tips - thanks! I have a Yahoo address, but I use Hotmail for sweeping, and I get TONS of spam. Thanks again! :cheer:

If I want to use the washer for my iwon.com account, what address do I use for the POP? Thanks.

No you cant, but Iwon does have a way to block addresses, check the help section for the email.

in keeping with my mozilla evangelism (because it and its derivatives are really the best browsers out there), use the mozilla mail client! while it doesn't work with hotmail or yahoo, it does work with the POP3 or IMAP based email your ISP typically gives you. it has a mail classifier that lets you mark what's spam, and then it learns from that, and in the future, will sort out the spam into a junk mailbox. of course, the nice thing is that after you've trained it for some amount of time (not very long), it really does a great job at weeding out spam. at least 95% accuracy, i'd say.
