Where do you get these? When it asks for a 3 x 5 card, is it asking for no envelope?

I think you have to cut them yourself, and then put them in an envelope to mail.

You can buy 3x5 cards at most stores, Walmart, Kmart, office supply, drug stores.

a 3x5 card goes in an envelope. It won't go through the mail without one. It's too small.

The cheapest place we've found to get 3X5 cards around here is Staples. And because most sweeps require a "plain 3X5 card," we always buy plain, white, unlined ones.

We usually buy our envelopes for sweeps at Staples, too. Every couple of months they usually have them on special, and we try to get them then. We use plain, white business-size (#10) envelopes.

how 'bout when they ask for 3x5 piece of paper?? Can you use an index card then too or cut a thin piece of paper to those dimensions?

I usually trace a 3x5 card on a piece of plain paper and cut it out lol

Office Max has little pads of 3x5 paper.

Thanks! I was all confused, because if they meant index cards I thought they'd say index cards. Also - I saw a sweepstakes that wanted a 3 x 5 with no envelope...I was like, um ok? The other day the post office charged me 80 to mail a card to a friend because it was too small. I was ticked off!

They are in the same place in a store as index cards, because they ARE index cards. They come lined and unlined. Generally, sweepers use the unlined. I haven't bought any in ages but I guess both are still available.

Me too. Years ago when I did a lot of snailmail sweeping, the mini sweeps magazine I subscribed to said that when it asks for paper, you NEED to use paper, and when it asks for cards you need to use cards, and usually unlined cards.
