Shenandoah National Park in Virginia was the best, since it was a trip for four and so all of us were able to go. I've also won trips to Tucson, Hollywood (probably runner up for best trip), and Las Vegas. Vegas was the worst, mainly because I'm not that interested in Vegas. It was an instant where I was trying for the $100 cash prize but ended up winning the trip, LOL.

I've won 3 from sweeping, and 3 from work incentive contests. All three work ones were won through Dr. Pepper. All 3 were awesome because Dr. P really goes all out. Hawaii was my favorite, well because it was Hawaii.

The 3 from sweeping were all good wins and I haven't taken one yet because it's next month for Daytona, but looks to be awesome because they even pay for food! Barbados was truly wonderful last year, and the year before was San Diego. No fault of the company that it was through, but the Hotel put a damper on the trip because they charged the $900 for the hotel to my card and that cut down on our available spending money.

I've not had a "worst" trip, but the best, by far, was our trip last summer sponsored by Kraft/Post Honeycomb cereal for the private Aly and AJ concert at Universal Studios, FL.
I think some people have unrealistic expectations sometimes when entering/winning trips.
Winning a free trip is almost never free. There will almost always be added expenses that should be considered. The sponsors, for the most part, do want the experience to be a wonderful one, but mishaps do/will happen. Sometimes the sponsor is able to make it up to the winner in other areas, sometimes they may not have that option.
I kinda go into my trip experiences thinking that it is going to be just another ordinary vacation that I have planned. We all know that even the best planned vacations sometimes go awry. (Reservations may get lost, planes may get delayed, hotel may not be up to our expectations, food may not be any good, etc.) If "extras" are given (such as goody baskets/bags) and exceptional customer service is received...then that's just the icing on the cake, IMO.

I've only won one trip so far and it was fantastic. I got to go to the Country Music Awards in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay and it was a great experience. I even got to be in the pit the night of the show and was literally only a few feet from all of the performers. I took my best friend and we were treated wonderfully.

I hope that you win a nice trip real soon.

I have won four trips in all, but the favorite was the trip, I went to the 2005 VMAs to Miami Fl. We saw so many celebrities, and the city is beautiful. The trip I won to Costa Mesa, CA was nice also, I won a trip to see Alannis Morrisette, and with some of the money win, that came with the trip, my baby girl also went to Universal Studios. The trip to Kingsland Georgia was nice also, we went to the Okeefenokee swamp. The other trip was to Dallas to see a soccer team, but since we live so close we just got about $150 in cash money, so this was probably the least win.

I've only won one trip so far and it was very nice. In fact, we just got home from it last Sunday! It was to Las Vegas. We go to Vegas about once a year and just love going there, so we were really looking forward to this win. I won it from a local Clear Channel radio station (but I think it was one of their National contests, actually). The trip included round trip airfare for two, a room at the Flamingo and $400 cash. It didn't specify what type of room but when I was talking to the promotions director at the hotel (I had to make all the arrangements directly myself) about extending our stay, I found out that we were being given a special deluxe room as part of our win, as well. She gave us a special rate for the additional nights ... but then after we got there, I talked to the slot host (since we're members of the player's club) and when we checked in, we ended up being comped for the entire stay AND they not only gave us the special deluxe room, they gave us a room directly overlooking the Bellagio and the Bellagio fountains. It was awesome.

Just to be silly a moment ... one of my favorite parts of the room, other than the view, was that there was a TV built into the MIRROR in the bathroom.

I have been fortunate enough to win three fantastic trips:

(1) Yellowstone National Park for four. We took two long time friends, stayed at
Yellowstone Lake Hotel, included all our food which was so great, car rental, park
tours, a camera, beautiful wool blanket designed for a national park. It was
absolutely wonderful. This was sponsored by the National Park Foundation
and the Travel Channel.

(2) Trip to Aspen sponsored by Nissan. We stayed at the beautiful old Hotel Jerome,
airfare and breakfast. They allowed us to stay over extra at our expense in Denver
for four days since my sister lives there, but they provided the airfare.

(3) Trip to Captiva, FL sponsored by Tween Waters and Midwest Airlines. We just got
back and it was out of this world. They treated us like royalty with a wonderful
dinner prepared for us by their chef, seaplane ride over the islands, sunset cruise
and welcome basket with all kinds of cheeses and fruit. Our suite overlooked the
marina and we had a screened balony that was so relaxing. We both had massages
at their spa. Tween Waters is a very laid back, older resort with loads of history.
This is where Anne Morrow Lindbergh wrote Gifts from the Sea and Teddy Roosevelt
stayed there to go fishing. It started out as a fishing resort, but now it has the
feel of being on a South Seas Island.

Without OLS we would never have been able to experience these wonderful trips.

I've won 2 trips & they were both fantastic!
Went to Miami/Homestead Florida for the Nascar finals...pure redneck fun!
Went to Manhattan New York & saw Young Frankenstein on Broadway...semi-sophisticated fun!

Both trips were so different from each other...but I had an equally good time at both places.

I very rarely have a bad time, I believe it all depends on your state of mind.

Both were great and unique, both to California.

My first was to San Francisco. We stayed in a 5 star hotel, and included a special concert held on Alcatraz to see Barenaked Ladies and Train! That was a once in a lifetime event. We saw the sites, attended a cocktail party, got a ferry ride and a tour of the prison. It was awesome.

My second was to LA. That was great too. Very nice hotel on Sunset, were given a nice dinner, and we saw a taping of Will & Grace. Did the whole Hollywood tour on Hollywood Blvd.

California is nice, but I stopped entering CA trip sweeps. Twice is enough for me. Good luck to you!

All save one of my trip wins have been awesome. I've been lucky enough to win many trips, including Orlando, London, Washington D.C., Philly, Vegas, San Diego, Boston, San Antonio, Daytona Beach, Hawaii, St Maartens, Super Bowl Detroit and many local get-aways.

My favorite ones are the "event" type trips where there are activities scheduled + bling. But they're all good, the Vegas one was kinda crappy just because I don't gamble & SOMEBODY thought we should bicycle down the Strip.

Actually my faves are the local ones, I once won a trip to Disneyland & thought, big deal, I can go there anytime, & I'm not actually that fond of it. We almost didn't go. Well, it was fantastic, it was just a weekend, but included a really fun private party. Lots of bling, loads of food, entertainment, etc. We had a great time.

Oh yeah, it was awful, Mama, it was my dear hub's idea, we cheated DEATH all along the Strip, it is NOT biker-friendly!

Meanwhile my SIL (guest) was livin' large back at the Mandalay, gambling, eating, snoozing in the suite. She called us up & said "I have 3 free seats 1st row for Mama Mia, what time will you guys be here? I'm like oh, we're on a freaking BUS, the bikes are on the front & some guy just threw up on me.

So, we missed the show totally, got back late late late.

She still tells the story about her great Vegas trip. I still tell the story about my loser trip....

Hawaii from Michelobe was INCREDIBLE.
New York from Yahoo and Olay was fabulous.
Expedia was the worst. They couldn't figure out how to let me redeem it. Crazy. But it finally worked out and I went to Disneyworld with grandson. That's a different story altogether, though.

I won a trip to Vegas from E! News and it was FABULOUS!!

Won two plane tix from Orbitz, and it was such a pita trying to redeem the ridiculous code they gave me, I ended up having to spend $20 out of pocket just to get the airline operator to figure it out for me. Horrible flights, paid for our own hotel and food and tried to have a nice time in Nashville- but the whole Orbitz thing left a bad taste in my mouth.

Won a trip recently to Canyon Spa Ranch in Tucson, AZ- we've not gone on that one yet- but I'm reading really wonderful things about it, and we're really excited!

I will remember them all. I'm going to include ones that I drove to as well as ones that I included airfare.

Three night stay in DC
Two night stay in Richmond, VA
Five night stay on the beach in Nags Head
Three night stay in Ashville North Carolina
Three night stay at Resort in Virginia Beach
Three night stay for me and 19 members of my family and friends at Kings Dominion virginia hotel (doswell va)
2 trips to Disney World
Trip to Buch Gardens Tampa bay
Trip to New Orleans
Trip to Chicago
Trip to Miami
Trip to the Poconos
Trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas
Trip to Aruba

I really can't think of any trips that were bad. I think it's all a matter of perception. I feel blessed to have won a trip. Oh sure it would be great to have a limo pick me up on every trip. Honestly I only had that happen once. I would love for them to provide a rental car each time. That only happened once. I would love to be greated with some of these gift baskets i see others receive but that has never happened. Sometimes meals are included and sometimes not. Sometimes there is spending money. Sometimes not. Regardless many of these trips are trips of a lifetime for me and many of them helped provide vacations that as a single mom I could never have afforded.

Sometimes I see people complain and carry on about this that or the other thing. One in particular crosses my mind and I think it was a story from another site. I don't want to go ito that but I just felt that the unspoken expectation was so high. The person expected things that weren't even mentioned as part of the prize. For example she was upset that no one met her at the airport. She saw all these people with signs welcoming them (more than likely limos) and he looked and looked and didn't see anyone with a sign for her. She looked outside to find out if there was a car for her and there wasn't any. She was upset because she had to rent a car. Well there was no mention in the prize about transportion to the hotel or a rental car. She simply expected it because "How else could I ge to the hotel" and her story just continued to sour as she recounted it.

I didn't expect a limo when we went to Atlantis and then when I went to find out about the bus to the hotel they got our name and the next thing we knew the bus was gone and we were being hustled into a limo and they were fussing all over us. I never expected that. They had mentioned transportation to and from the airport but I thought they meant the shuttle bus. What a treat.

Good luck I hope you win something great. Maybe a trip is on its way.

Oh, trip wins are the best if you are the traveling sort- let me clarify, the adventerous traveling sort. I have also heard many complaints about trip wins which I believe sound like someone who just isn't fit for travel.
Anyhow,
We won:
London - 6 nights for 4. Trip to meet cast of Harry potter, all time favorite trip ever. Things did go wrong but still best trip. Spent about $2,000 out of pocket while there, worth every penny
La Jitas Texas- spa trip for 2, 4 nights. Fabulous trip, missed initial flight had horrid time getting there, could have died while there, still a great trip. Loved the place.
Couples Sans Souci- 3 nights for 2. We were married there so it was almost like second honeymoon. Had to pay $700 for the airfare. Was well worth it.
Vegas, Hard Rock- Super almost favorite. Won from details mag. Came with $1,000 in poker chips. Had a hard time booking, hard time getting $1,000 arranged, didn't have suite when we got there... but all worked out perfectly. Worst thing was our own fault. 2 nights is nowhere near enough for going all the way across the country we should have added on one more night.
Carnival Cruise- Trip for 3, 3 nights. Fun ship says it all. Won from new balance. Problem was trip for three part. We had to buy a seperate cabin and then all just sleep in one.
Puerto Vallarta MX- 6 nights for 4 people. Won from Don Pablos. Rules said three nights but ended up just telling travel agent we can do anything up to $8,000....it was great although the desitination was not my favorite.
Colordo- least favorite because lost trip (long story) not their fault.

I think I won one more trip but am not recalling it. I am a traveler. I have backpacked the most the world in my 20's. I am not worried about limos, perfect pampering- some trips I would expect it and some not....I read the rules and ask for clarification on anything I am not clear on. I make a list of questions everytime I talk to the person handling the trip. For instance, if they don't mention getting from airport to hotel, I ask them if they are getting that, if not, I call the hotel and ask them what the best thing to do is. I too have never gotten a gift basket and as stupid as it sounds I really want one. I never have felt bad that I didn't though.
One thing is. Almost all these trip cost me at least $400 out of pocket per trip. If you don't have some extra cash, winning trips may be more stress than it's worth. Well actually the vegas trip I bet we only spent about $100...but that's the only one that came with spending money. I read all rules when I enter trips to make sure I really want them. I also only enter for destinations I really want to visit. Traveling is hard for me to arrange these days and I don't want to win what will not work for me.
Good luck, I am ill right now that I don't have a sweeps trip in the works. Desperatly awaiting an affy for one....

Absolute best to less than that

Vegas
LA
Seattle
Chicago
NYC

I had a great time on all these wins. What makes a trip win is the little things they throw in, spending $$, limo service, fancy dinners, etc. Sure, airfare and a nice hotel is great is's that they throw in that sweetens the deal for me!

have won several cool trips. My sister is an OLSer, and we split all wins, so some were mine some hers.First was trip to Vegas for CMA awards at MGM. Sponsored By Wrangeler.Well organized.very nice. If you are a country music fan it would be worth paying to go to the newcomers concert and the after show party. We saw all the big current acts because they were newcomers 2 years ago- Carrie underwood,Little big town, sarah evans. The after concert is in a big hotel ballroom-think stage at the prom or a wedding reception. Stars like Kenny Chesney, brad paisley, Dwight Yokum sat on stools and played acoustic songs- it was great. Vegas is always a blast!
next was to last years BCS bowl in Scottsdale AZ. Fun.
We Also won a cruise on the Danube from Peter Deilmann Cruies. We paid airfare, but the cruise was fabulous. We went this fall because of our work schedules. It actually was snowing when we got to Germany, but we had a fantastic time. We extended 3 days in prague which was just wonderful. The cruiseline is stellar. Noone knew we werre prize winners, and everyone aboard the ship was treated wonderfully. Good food, great local guides for tours. Hotel in prague was great.
We feel very fortunate to win such great things and to go places we'd probably never get the opportunity to go. I love OLS!

Nashville fantasy camp win the best!!
Maxim private jet to unknown location, they cancelled and gave us $8000!!
Las Vegas okay
New Orleans okay
St. Lucia, the worst. I became sick on the hour ride to our resort. I have asthma and our room was old and triggered attacks everday night.

January 27th, 2008, 9:28am
Ive won 2 trips so far and they both were nice. Nashville was the best though.

1) To Nashville from the Nashville Convention Center and Opryland Resort Hotel. Included airfare for 2, hotel for 3 nights, most meals, a private tour of Nashville, and VIP tickets to the 10th largest 4th of July Fireworks celebration in the country for 2004. Luckily I had my conf # when arriving at the hotel because they had my first name wrong in the system but fixed it right away, and we were upgraded to a mini suite because the resort was booked for a convention that weekend. No spending money or extras in the room that I remember.

2) Trip to the Mohegan Sun Casino/Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut last summer. Airfare for 2, 2 nights at the hotel, 2 brunches & 2 dinners, tickets to a show (we chose a comedy routine my sun wanted to see ~ definitely wasn't my taste in funny! lol), and I think that was it. We had a suite which would have cost $500 per night since we went on a fri & sat night. Not a place I would return to only because I don't gamble at casinos alot. I think I spent $100 for gambling and at the gift shops.
It's not like Vegas where you can stay in one place and visit many others. There really wasn't alot to do if you weren't gambling, eating, shopping or going to a show.
My son and I sat in this 'star gazer' bar that is 3 stories high in the casino watching people lose $500 a bet on the blackjack tables. I was standing near the cashiers window deciding if I wanted to spend another $20 on a slot machine and a guy walks up and asks for $1000 to bet with. I was thinking with that I could catch up on my bills! The best part was spending a weekend with my son who I don't get to see alot as he's 25 and on his own and I worry about him. Oh, this was sponsored by the Florida University and the Southbeach Wine Festival (the GP was a trip to Miami to the festival which was what I was entering for).

** My daughter who never posts on here, won a trip to Antiqua, which hasn't been taken yet. It doesn't include airfare and she is having a hard time finding affordable airfare. She has until the end of Sept to take it. Its just a certificate for an all inclusive room at a resort for her 'honeymoon'. We'll see what happens.

The best !!
8 days 7 nights all inclusive at Club Med in Cancun. What a blast that was!!
A close 2nd:
A trip to the ESPY awards in Hollywood. Went to a celeb. golf tournament, celeb. car show, a pre party for the ESPY'S, the ESPY's, and a post party. PARTY, PARTY, PARTY !!!! We were treated like royalty.......Limo's, 1st class air, the whole bit !!

1) 4 Night Carnival Cruise - Included Airfare, Gift Basket, Small amount of spending money. Really nice. From Fox News.

2) 3 Night Trip for 6 people to Summerfest in Milwaukee from RadioLia (internet entry). This was the favorite so far, included Kenny Chesney concert. I wasn't a fan but now I am. Took our high school senior and three of his friends. They had an awesome time.

3) Won a 4 night trip to Hotel Solamar in San Diego last March which we're taking in a couple of weeks. Includes a spa package and $200 restaurant gift certificate. Hopefully it will be great too!

The one thing I've learned is that you have to be careful about entering for trips that are on a certain date - the first two that are shown had to be taken on specific dates and that caused a little bit of stress because they were short notice. It was worth it though. I pay attention to dates now. I think it would be sad to win and not be able to go.

In 2005 my wife and I went to an ACC game sponsored by Dr. Pepper. The food was great and there were parties everywhere. This was in Jacksonville, FL. It was early December, so we were grateful to get away from the Pennsylvania cold for a few days. We walked around in t-shirts and enjoyed the view of the water.

We received VIP tickets and I had a photo op. with the ACC commissioner, the ABC announcers of the game, and someone else who used to play for the Miami Dolphins. I forget his name.

They had us staying at the Omni hotel and provided transportation from the airport.

No trip wins for me YET!

Thanks for sharing all your experiences with the rest of us. I've always figured if I win a trip there will be some costs involved on my part, even if the win includes airfare, accommodations and meals. Sweeping takes work, so does winning. When my trip win arrives ~~notice when~~ I expect it will take work and cash on my part to make it memorable and enjoyable.

My motto will be . . . No expectations = no disappointments.

Good luck to all the future trip winners who read this thread and dream of their own trip win.

I don't have any thing to compare it to because I've only won one trip,to the Super Bowl last year in Miami, Because of the rain the Super Bowl was crummy, but staying on South Beach was Great ! I'm hoping for another trip win to compare it to. Wish me luck!!

I've won three: A trip to Vegas with accommodations at the Venetian, roundtrip airfare anywhere in the US (we went to San Francisco), and a trip to Kaua'i with accommodations.

The best: easy - Kaua'i. It was beautiful and relaxing.

The worst: easy - Vegas. The hotel was nice, but Vegas has absolutely nothing to offer us. Neither of us had ever been and we're both glad we didn't have to pay ourselves to figure that out (we'd always *thought* it wasn't our kind of place, but everyone we knew kept saying "Oh, you'll love it when you get there!" Wrong).

The trip to San Francisco was nice too, but we had to cover accommodations. Other than that, it's a great place to visit!

I have won the following trips:

1) A trip to an American Idol finale off the radio BUT they asked if I would give up my trip so they could give it to some VIP's who needed tickets to the sold out finale. They said they would exchange it to London. We were making all the arrangements when the bombings occurred in London so we switched it to Vegas. SO MUCH FUN!!!

2) I won a trip from ESPN and we booked everything and it was going to be great until we realized it was when my daughter was graduating so I asked them to please give the trip to another winner. They said that since I won, they would give me cash instead. How nice of them!!!

3) I won a trip to the Jazz Festival in New Orleans (before Katrina) and then we found out my husband's grandmother was close to death so I asked them to give the trip to another winner, which they did.

4) MY FAVORITE TRIP OF ALL TIME - I won a contest from the Sexy Hair company (thank you to all the OLSer's who voted for me) and it was to Univeral Studios. They treated my daughter and me like VIP's the whole time. Here's a link to the thread I created on that trip. It was a memory of a lifetime and it only happened because of the WONDERFUL friends here at OLS. I will always love you all so much for making this trip happen for me.

I've won 2 trips in all my on-again off-again sweeping career.

1. a 6 night 7 day all inclusive stay at the Grand Bahama Bay and Harbor Club - This was really nice! The trip was only for two but I paid the extra for 2 more plane tickets and took my kids with me ~ the sponsor Rhino Truck Linings was awesome about it and paid for the food and stuff for the kids as well.

2. a 2 night trip to South Beach Miami through Kraft which was great other than the weather ~ it was only in the high 50's low 60's and freezing!! (I had only brought summer clothes because I figured it would be warm....)

anyway good luck in winning a trip of your own!! :magic:

WOW! I really love reading everyone's trip stories. I am amazed at how many trips some of you have won. I LOVE to travel and hope to win some more trips myself. My only two trip wins so far were a no-travel-included trip to South Dakota, but we really enjoyed ourselves and then also a trip to Vegas which will be later this month. It's a trip for 4 so besides DH, I'm taking my Mom and sister, which is a nice bonus.

I am so inspired to get entering now after reading everybody's trip stories!

I have also won Airline tickets a few times. Once I sent my parents to Vegas, the second set I sold (needed the cash at the time), the third set I haven't received yet.

For those wondering, I started sweeping in Jan. 1999. I also won a NYC trip right before the CMA trip but had to turn it down. It was a local radio station with no rules posted. They called me on a Friday to leave on the following Monday (3 day notice) and I had 2 small children with no sitter on such short notice and lots of after school activities.

I am RIGHT now on my first trip win. I am in Isle of Palm, SC at the Wild Dunes Resort. :snap:
All I can say is WOW!:smile11:

I just finished my 50 min massage (upgraded since we only have 2 adults instead of 4) and will be going on a bike ride with DH and my kids when I get back. Everywhere I go the staff has been AWESOME! This is a gorgeous resort. It is just what I needed to break up the winter.

I can't express enough how great it is to win a trip (at least thru Womans Day and at this resort!)

Will try to post a few photos when I return home.

I didn't win a "trip" exactly, but a private tour and a day at Universal Studios in FL-going in October. It is a Coke win, so after this I REALLY can' t wait!!!

1. Trip to Hollywood, CA. Took my youngest daughter and we had fun, but realized we weren't going to have enough time to do everything we wanted. Spending money, tickets to events, airfare, hotel, rental car were included.

2. Trip to NYC, NY. Took my middle daughter, who fell in love with NYC and plans to move there one day. Spending money, airfare, hotel, some food, and makeovers at Bloomingdale's were included. This was my least favorite

3. Trip to Las Vegas. Went with my best friend and had a blast. This trip was my personal favorite because I played Wild Cherry Slots day in and day out LOL. Everything was incuded.

4. Trip to Nashville for the IBMA awards. Had fun, but driving in Nashville was a nightmare. Hotel, events, food, tours were included - airfare wasn't, so we drove (10 hours).

5. Trip to Tupelo, MS. Food and hotel were comped, as were event tickets.

6. Trip to Hollywood, CA, again. Airfare, hotel, $2K spending, event tickets are included. Haven't taken yet. Probably in the fall of this year.

7. Trip to Tahiti. Airfare and hotel. Haven't taken yet (postponed from 2006 - sponsors are excellent).

8. Trip to Mt. Hood. Everything except ground trans is included. Haven't taken yet.

9. Trip to Milwaukee. Possibly going in the summer - travel for this one is flexible. Airfare, hotel, spending money is included.

9. Turned down trips to Phoenix, Dallas, DC, Aruba, and Mexico City due to time conflicts.

Sweeping since 2003. The first four trips were all taken in 2006, with the Vegas and Nashville in the same month. I've won trips from online entries, snail mail, radio station call-ins, credit card member-only, local giveaways.

For those of you who think you will never win a trip. I have been entering sweeps more or less for 14 years and Sept. was my first trip win. We ended up taking it almost immediately because while it wasn't posted that there were limitations there were. It worked out real well because my husband's mom was coming that week to see the kids. So she watched them while we got the honeymoon we never got to take for our third anniversary. Our trip was to Boca Raton, Fl. The hardest part was getting a hold of the right person to the hotel arrangements. Ours included airfare, hotel and a rental car. Delta was awesome and got us in on an earlier flight since we had made it to the airport earlier then expected. Since we arrived earlier then expected they didn't have the luxury car I told them that was fine if they needed to downgrade as I did not want to wait. Our stay at the Boca Raton Resort and Hotel was absolutely wonderful. Because I researched the hotel before our trip I knew I would end up having to pay valet fees because valet parking was mandatory(boy did I enjoy this). All in all I think we spent 600 extra while we were there but it was well worth it.

I just received an affy for another trip win but I will wait to reveal it until all is set with the sponsor. No travel on this one but it will be fun for the whole family.

I went to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl 2 years ago! It was awsome. We didnt do much site seeing though cuz we were stationed there for three years and had done it all. It was just a nice honeymoon we never got to take without kids.

My favorite was a week long trip to San Juan Puerto Rico (won through a local book store). The hotel accommodations were pure luxury and we enjoyed the casinos, a trip through the rain forest/jungle and all the history walks we took.

We also won a three night stay in a condo in Panama City Beach, FL. That was super nice also.

Neither one were bad trips, so I don't have a least favorite.

I've only won one trip and it was definitely more in the "best" category - a trip for four to Disneyland sponsored by Coca-Cola. They put us up in the Grand Californian right at the gates to California Adventure - very nice hotel! Travel was no problem - they arranged it just fine. Our park passes were at the desk, as promised. The only "bad" part was paying the taxman for the fun - which is the reason I so rarely enter for trips!

I've won two NASCR trips and one other trip that is still in the planning stages.

The first NASCAR trip started out as a total disaster as the travel people messed up big time.

However, they more than made up for making us wait until three days before we left to finalize the arrangements by upgrading everything and putting us up at a very nice "business" hotel near the airport (and paying our five day parking fees!) so we could leave very early on Friday. We were met at the airport at the other end by a limo and driver (who was ours the entire weekend) instead of the rental car they had in the rules. The hotel was a five star luxury resort (to make up for our "inconvienence") and they added a fabulous welcome basket.

We were guests of a team owner and treated like stars - it was almost embarassing as people had to wonder just why the fuss over us by all the drivers.

The plan had been that we'd fly across country with two connections after the Sunday race, but it went really long, so we stayed another night in the fabulous hotel and they sent us on a non stop back home.

The next year we got a phone call three days before the NASCAR race in our state and asked if we could make it - I think the original winners must have backed out. We said of course! They sent a nice check for gas as were driving ourselves, and said everything else was taken care of - and it was. Hotel, food, all access passes, tons of goodies, transportation to and from the track. Man, that's the way to see the races!

I won three trips, and have taken 2 of them. The one to St. Lucia still has to be scheduled.

First one: Trip to NYC through REDBOOK. It was really nice, and they were nice to deal with. We got to see The Lion King. This was the first time I spent more than 2 hours in NYC (the only other time was to see the World Trade Center before 9/11). I have been back to NYC a few times since.

Second one: Local radio station win to the Bahamas. It was a nice, quirky, all-inclusive resort. We had a blast, and did a lot of snorkeling. I liked this one, too.

I can't say which was the best and the worst. It is like comparing apples to oranges!

Two trips.....

Trip to the Orange Bowl in Miami was fun, but no spending money, no airport or stadium transfers and I'm not a huge football fan.....but it was a great break to the sun & beach in Jan. I'm not complaining....

Second trip to NYC was great! Shorter flight...1000.00 spending money, great hotel, free dinner, tickets to a Broadway show and car and driver to and from the airport! Yeah! I'd love to win another one like that! :smile8:

All of your trip wins are giving me such motivation... congratulations to all! I have only been sweeping for a little over a year (and have won some great, HUGE prizes... so I'm not complaining!)... but a vacation is topping my "wish list" of wins for this year.

Good luck all!
