View Full Version : Filmjabber sweeps

Just got this email...I am sure others will too...

"I wanted to let you know that due to a technical glitch in our systems, some recent contest entries, dating back to the beginning of January 2008, were not recorded correctly. As a result, I cannot guarantee that every one of your entries was properly recorded.

As a result, I invite you to please return to the FilmJabber contest section and re-enter any contest available on the website. I have also extended the end dates for contests that recently closed to give you another chance at winning - they will expire from January 31st to February 2nd, so make sure to enter now!

I have 24 open giveaways at the moment, so don't delay.

And, of course, I apologize for this huge inconvenience. I have fixed the problem and it will not happen again. On another note, I have selected winners from many of the December contests and will be sending out prizes (about 30 DVDs and then some) over the next week.

Thanks for your understanding,

Erik Samdahl

I received the email as well.....

Since I didn't enter ANY of these sweeps,
how did "Erik Samdahl, of FilmJabber" get my email address?

Does this bother anyone else? :frown3:

Maybe it's something I'm just not thinking clearly about?

Hi guys (or ladies),

This is Erik Samdahl. I emailed out to a list of people who had entered contests on Movie-Source.com or FilmJabber (formerly Movie-Source.com). Sorry for the confusion. It's not my intent to spam - in fact, I will not be mailing anybody who has not joined FilmJabber after that last email, and it's not my intention to mail people who don't opt in to the newsletter (but considering there was a technical glitch that affected anyone who has entered my giveaways recently, I thought it best to contact anyone).

Have a good one,
