You may begin making your reservations at the San Antonio Marriott RiverCenter Hotel tomorrow, Friday, September 21. The phone number and web link will be posted on the "HOTEL" section of the Lone Star Stampede website along with any other instructions that you need. If you experience any problems, please email me at gwen@lonestarstampede.com.

We have plenty of rooms available, so there is no need for anyone to stay up late or get up early to make their reservation.

When you call the hotel, be sure to tell them you want a reservation for the 'Lone Star Stampede', because if you say 'sweepstakes convention', they won't be able to find the info.

I'm booked too...see you all (or is it y'all?) there!

All I wanted was the concierge level and it took like 20 minutes on the phone. No options online except for the basics.

But, hey, I'm in!

I checked on the difference between regular and concierge levels, and it looked like the concierge level amenities were not available on Saturday or Sunday. I didn't understand why they were still charging more when the lounge is closed. Is there any other perks with it?

Well, color me stupid! LOL! I just always book Concierge level when I travel for the lounge - saves on feeding four people breakfast and afternoon snacks and that floor tends to be a little quieter - never have any groups of kids running up and down the hall. It never occured to me the lounge was closed on the weekends. Scratch that idea.

Just changed back to a regular room. Thanks for the heads up!

I just booked and was told that Sunday the 31st is all sold out. The convention is usually wrapped up by then anyway, but I usually fly home on Monday morning.

The Concierge Lounge will be open on Saturday & Sunday during our convention. The Lounge hours are: 6:30am - 10pm with a continental breakfast in the morning until 10am and hordeorves and dessert in the evening.

there are no conceirge rooms left, we tried the day reservations opened and they were gone. I wrote to stampede contact, said she would check and write me back and never heard anything again, so I assume they are still sold out- I did check the website and nothing comes up

I called the hotel and for those of you that have the concierge rooms booked, they don't provide anything on the weekend.. So you would be paying the extra 20 bucks for no breakfast on Saturday or sunday.

Sunday nite has snacks but absolutely nothing on Saturday.

Breakfast is M-F and Snacks are S-Th

I was going to book but decided not to based on the fact that it was not availiable on the weekend.

They might be planning to be open that weekend since it is sold out. I would double check with the hotel though.

Good luck!

Can someone explain to me what the heck the

"Conceirge Level/Rooms" means?????

I have no idea what you guys are talking about?

So if your room is on a certain level like Level 6 then you get
special privilages? Is there like a bar on that level? Even
if you don't stay on say "Level 6 Conceirge" level then
can't you just take the elevator to that level where
the bar is?

I'm so confused!

Can someone please confirm this? I just called the Hotel and asked and I was told that the Lounge was NEVER open on the weekend. Not even for Conventions.

Lucinda, I'm sorry that we seem to have deserted you. Please email me again, so I will know who I am dealing with and I will contact the Marriott on Monday. I sent them a list of people who had emailed me about concierge and assumed that everyone was taken care of since I haven't heard back from anyone. I guess I'd better email the others on the list to make sure they all got their rooms.

Is this confirmation enough? Jeannie is the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter representative overseeing our convention. If you call the hotel again, ask for her directly. At this time I doubt that you can get a concierge reservation if you didn't already have it. I just emailed them not to release any more concierge rooms until we have made sure that those who tried to get them earlier (like Lucinda) have been taken care of.

Thank you so very much, it just got so confusing. I booked a concierge room, then un booked it when someone said the lounge wasn't open and then wanted to rebook.

When I called the Marriott 800 number, they told me that anyone wanting a Concierge level for the Lonestar Stampede convention should tell the reservationists to look under SWP code and there were about 50 rooms left as of yesterday. They are all King beds, they could not guarantee me a room with double beds. The regular room was $125 and the Concierge was $145.

Thanks again for helping out!!
