"Winner Takes All" Contest/Swap ~ Round 2 Ends 10PM EST on 8/31

Alright--is everyone ready for Round 2?!? Round 1 went VERY well and I am excited to continue with a 2nd round!! I am very much so copying and pasting the below information/directions from the first round--those of you that participated the first time around will already be familiar with this but I wanted a definite "refresher" for the new participants! I've gotten quite a few PMs and responses from members that didn't get the chance to participate in the first round so I hope that this round will bring even more participants which means an even LARGER total prize for the winner!!

This is how it works (it's pretty simple!):

I will choose a topic for each one of the "Winner Takes All" Contests/Swaps. For example, I might choose pens as a topic. Anyone that is interested will sign up here and PM me their name and address. I will set a deadline for sign-ups for that period and when the deadline comes I will choose a winner at random with a randomizer and everyone that signed up will send the winner whatever the chosen topic was. In this example, for instance, if 20 people signed up then the winner would receive pens from 19 other people! It's a neat way for the winner to receive a lot of envelopes/packages in a short period of time! Very fun! You want to be friendly to the winner and send them creative and fun items if possible as they may pay you back when you win!! The winner, however, must PM me to let me know who they have received envelopes/packages from so that I can track this! Also keep in mind that if you win your mailing information will be shared with all of the other OLSers participating in this as they will need to mail you your "prize(s)!" Remember--if you are not the winner you ARE RESPONSIBLE for sending your portion of this round's prize to the chosen winner--this is part of the responsibility associated with participating!! If you are consistently found to be participating but not sending the appropriate topic item(s) to the winner you will be disqualified from winning at this contest/swap in the future. Once a "round" of "Winner Takes All" is complete then we will begin another round with a new "prize." Make sense? If you have any questions....please PM me!! I will be a host and organizer of these contests/swaps and not a participant.

Don't forget--if you sign up you must immediately PM me with your name and address!

Also, you are not obligated to join every round just because you sign up for this particular one...sign ups start all over at the beginning of each and every round!


AND...the SECOND "Winner Takes All" prize IS...a $5 gift card to the company of your choice!! The LUCKY winner will receive a LARGE total in gift cards!! YAY!! The winner will provide me with 3 businesses that they are interested in receiving cards from; these choices should be something that is easy for anyone in any area to access...i.e., WalMart, EBay, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, McDonalds, etc. If you have any questions as to whether a particular choice would be acceptable then please let me know by simply sending me a PM!

The deadline for signups on this first round will be 10:00PM EST on Friday, August 31st.

I must receive all of your name and address info via PM prior to the deadline--I must adher strictly to this in order to "play by the rules" and be fair to everyone participating! :)

Joanne, I was just trying to figure that out actually! Had the same problem at Walgreens today. Picked up a blank card and asked them to load it for $5. Spent 20 minutes while the cashier kept trying to make it work, even calling the manager. Took them that 20 minutes to realize that the minimum was $10... lol.

I hope Wal Mart is ok, as that is the only other store we have around here. Sure do wish we had a target!

No need to be sorry, I would have picked Walgreen too. I wasn't complaining, I hope you didn't take my post that way. I was in there yesterday anyway, so no time wasted. Was actually having fun with the cashier while they were trying to figure it out.
It was my sons first day back at school yesterday and I was just enjoying being able to shop for makeup without him right behind me going "Are you done yet???"

Yup... isn't it great? lol I have had to take my son EVERYWHERE with me since the end of May because my husband is away right now. Wanted to let you all know that I have decided on one thing that I am buying for myself. I love the shabby chic collection from Target and I just found that Walmart has its own version. So I am going to buy a new comforter and sheets! I will post a pic when I pick one! I feel kind of selfish buying something for myself. But my teenagers have been the receipients of all the other GC's I have won since I started (AMEX and Best buy). So this is my turn!

I always find all kinds of stuff at Walgreens when I go there (I can clean that store out for some reason) and Barnes and Noble is so much fun. I always find tons of stuff there too.

So I can sit in my new bedding and read books and eat snacks I always find at Walgreens! Does it get any better! :read:

Yes they are! However...so far as I know 3 out of those 4 are on the way and I have had communication of some sort with those 3. There is only 1 that seems may not get sent and yes, they will be submitted to the "badlist" and therefore will not be able to participate in further Winner Takes All rounds.
