Possible Harry Potter Spoiler????

Have no idea if this guy knows what he's talking about. I was watching the hot dog eating contest on tv today (Chestnut finally defeats Kobayashi LOL ) A guy was in the stands holding up a sign. He was showing one side that was saying something about his hometown. Then he quickly flipped it over when the cameras were on him and the below spoiler was written on the card.

The camera panned away quickly but not quick enough.

I have heard that there is a bootleg copy of the new Harry Potter book out there and that the spoiler has been posted on the web.

Everyone knows that a character does die in the next book, I just hope it's not one of the main 3

Aaack! I had to check the spoiler, even though I know it will be one of the main characters that dies. We all know someone dies in the last book, so it would have to be someone important. I can't wait for the movie and book :smile7:

My curiosity got the best of me. I had to look too. It doesn't really bother me though, no one could spoil the book, there is so much more to it than the deaths. Can't wait, 14 days, Woo Hoo!!!!!!

I think Harry will die but the Phoenix will resurrect him and his parents will come back to life--Harry will eventually become Headmaster at Hogwarts--

Petunia isn't a wizard, though. Lily was a muggle born witch. JKR has said that Petunia is neither a witch nor a squib but that there is more to her than meets than eye.

Malfoy dies. His two friends die. Avada Kedavra curse by Harry - square in the chest. Perhaps ron dies.

Who knows? Just that two major characters die. She didn't say if they were on the "good" side, or the "bad" side, just that two major characters would die.

Even if snape and Ron's mother died, that would be two major characters.

So you can never know.

I would bet Harry is kept alive--if JK ever gets the notion to write again--it would be hard to write about HP without the main character--

I also believe Harry will survive - in one form or another. It's really a childrens book and all, and it would be depressing for all of those kids if the main character in a "children's" book died.

I have a hunch Hagrid is going to kick the bucket though. Not without a fight, however.

Okay, I know you all are going to hate me for nit-picking but that wasn't exactly what she said. In referring to the epilogue she said that she changed it from the original form so that one character got a reprieve while two others were killed that weren't intended to die.

So if 10 characters died originally, and one got a reprieve but two more died, we would be looking at 11 dead characters.

I think we should expect all manner of deaths from Snape and Lucious to possibly a Weasley(s), professors, and order members. I am not personally of the camp that believes Harry dies (or any trio for that matter) but I would not be surprised.

I'm so annoyed that people are ruining it for everyone. The book has been leaked and when I went to read an online news article about it, the first comment had spoilers that I did not want to see or read until I had the book in my hands. I told my SIL (we're going to the midnight party to pick up the book) about the article since it said that all links and sites with accurate information about the book were being deleted or removed. She couldn't bear that I might know something that she didn't and wanted the link. When I sent it to her, the comments had been removed. It bothers me so much that folks will ruin something for everyone else.
