you have won! or not?

i recieve in my email almost every day "Congradulations you have won" or something to that effect then when i open the email it has a link "click here for your prize" and that takes you to a never ending survey or someone selling something. No Prize at all.
does anyone else have this problem or just me. i am unsubscribing and blocking them as they come in but how do you know you realy won a prize if all this spam keeps messing with you? (i havent won anything yet...still kinda new).
or am i the only one that gets these emails?:grin2:

Don't worry-pretty much everyone gets these e-mails. Before long, you'll be able to tell before even opening the mail that it's a scam. Don't waste your time doing a survey like that-if you have really won, the company will tell you straight out!

Yup, we all get them, soon enough you'll learn how to spot the legit from the spam.
Often times when it says "free prize" or you've won a FREE prize" it's almost always spam :spam:
Don't be fooled but always check carefully, you wouldn't want to delete a REAL win either.

yes, we all get them. annoying, and even unkind on their part.
as jeannie said, the word "free" is a huge hint that it's garbage. if they gotta tell you it's "free", it's no prize. you'll learn to sift through them, but do be cautious, I have received winning email that didn't look like much of interest till I opened it.

When you really win something there generally sin't much hoopla, like those silly magazine company envelopes. It won't say urgent, or any ohter BS. also of course a real win requires no crdit card to claim.
You do build up savy I can go through hundreds of spam, (if I've been on vacation for instance) in seconds and pick out a few real notes. Good luck!

We all get that garbage.. and it does make it harder to know if you are a winner. I have all kinds of filters and still get them.. just don't get sucked in and delete, delete, delete.. once you know they aren't legitimate, that is.
