For those of us interested in forming a new sweeps club in an underrepresented area...

What, exactly, do you do at these meetings? I'm clueless! They must be fun since so many people participate, and I'm a super organizer, so just give me some ideas! Please?

Our local club has drawings for stamps, postcards, door prizes, etc. We all chip in a dollar for the state lottery and another for the superball (optional) We e-mail each other through Yahoo groups news of local sweeps and when it's a drop in, several people bring in forms we all fill out about 5-10 and 5-10 people drop them in several locations of the store chain. We also have a Holiday party in November and we give away all sorts of prizes like stamps from any money left in the treasury. (Our dues are $8.00 a year) We also draw a name and we each address 10 three by fives for the winner. (Sure saves time if you are a busy sweeper) We have had demonstrations of Online-Sweepstakes.com so that timid members could see how easy it was.
We pass around small tokens of any grand prize wins and when it gets to the winner, they stand up and tell us the details of their win. We talk about the various sweeping newsletters and sometimes about taxes on wins, judging agencies etc. And we share tips about decorating envelopes, strategies for winning etc
Meetings last about 2 hours at a local restaurant. And we meet once a month except December.
