NEW YORK, April 21 -- After being thrown out of a Syracuse bar Saturday, Paul Russell Jr., 33, allegedly bit police dog Renny, a 3-year-old German shepherd.
Renny and his handler, Officer William Foster, were investigating a disturbance after Russell was ejected by bouncers. Russell, on the sidewalk, grabbed the dog by the throat and started choking it and biting it on the neck, police said.
Police charged Russell with injuring a police animal, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration.
Guess the guy had too much "Red Dog" to drink....
