Yup, they've basically "got it" now -- once you get the DNA (or in the case of some things, their RNA code) you have the recipe and can start "playing" with the ingredients.
I am SO glad they've got a handle on the strain at this time, but they do seem to have identified the fact that it seems prone to quick-change mutuations.
But this is great news, 'cause now there's a handle to work with!
