So we sold something for about $2500 on ebay. I had my husband take it to the local UPS Store to ship it while I took care of some other errands.
He didn't realize that I'd listed that insurance would be included in the price of shipping, which ended up being higher than I'd estimated to begin with, and so he didn't get it. We tried to call and get it added on, but they said they couldn't.
Enter a weekend of worrying.
Should I inform the buyer of this? I've never had a problem with a package coming or going through UPS in the past so I'm crossing my fingers... They didn't have the tracking number in their system yet; is there some chance that once it gets in there, one of us can call and whine and whimper and talk about how furious our spouse is and get insurance added?
