Congressman resigns
http://articles.news.aol.com/news/_a/congressman-resigns-after-e-mails-to/20060929145509990001
Aides to former Rep. Mark Foley, R.-Fla., said that there is nothing inappropriate in a set of five e-mails that surfaced from Foley to a 16-year-old male congressional page. ABC News reports that several former pages have shared more sexually explicit instant messages that they allegedly received from Foley as underaged boys.
..then why resign? :sherlock:

And what about all the people in power who knew about Foley's improper communications...who knew over a year ago, and did nothing about it? Why wasn't it reported to police, why wasn't Foley at least immediately removed from his position as chair of the House sex offender caucus, why wasn't an investigation immediately launched to see what else improper may have been going on during his 12 years as a U.S. Congressman?

a lot of heads will roll on this one, a lot of excuses (we're still in the process of investigating), but for sure the sh!t will hit the fan and there will be no place for foley to hide, no one to protect him, and that's why i wouldn't be surprised if he ended his life. could possibly see some other resignations as well.

Okay, what with recent events...those pedophiles busted over and over on .... dateline? And the politicion coming out after a thousand years of being a straight married guy, and now this. Is EVERY man with an intenet connection a potential pervert? I mean, really. Rabbis, politicians, teachers. It just seems so overwhelming and all seems to be related to the internet. When they had to go to the cheezy parts of town to do these things, I think it slowed them down.
