Terrible thing happened last night with my sort-of-stepson

He didn't know I was in the living room, and he came out of the bathroom NAKED. :shocked3:

We both screamed, forever traumatized, and he ran licketysplit back in the bathroom and slammed the door shut.

It was only for a second, but I saw him. And asked DBF later if that was shadow or full pubes. He shook his head sorrowfully and said full pubes.

The kid just turned 12. :sob:

Is this normal? I don't remember when I hit puberty. I don't remember *any* of that stuff. But I'm really scared - this kid is girl obsessed already. Every time he sees a pretty girl/woman on tv he comments "she's hot."

AHHHHH. He's only in 5th grade.

Any advice? We don't want to terrify him away from sex but we certainly don't want him to be doing anything that we did in school! :laugh:

he's 12 and in the 5th grade?? I thought that was Jr. High age (Guess not)?? Things happen maybe your BF should have a chat with him about being careful around the house

I was 10 in 5th grade for the whole year, but some kids in my class were 11 and even 12 by the end of 5th. I don't think he repeated a year, but I'm not sure? He may have started a year late - had a head injury when he was a baby :~( but is fine now.

Kids now a days are hitting puberty earlier and earlier...My son is 12 (turns 13 next month) he just finished 7th grade.
