Teen #1 - is a grump all the time and just grunts at everyone.
Teen #2 - almost everything out of her mouth is a lie.. grrr
Teen #3 - Tries to keep piece between teen #1 And #2, always helping out. (then again she is just going into teen hood, im sure this is short lived lol)
8 yr old thinks she is 18 because of all the other flipping teens in this house. She even has started the grunting lmbo.
ok thats all I have as of today lol

I love how Dr Phil described teenagers. He said they don't have much function above the brain stem  From what I see with my 14 yo, it's true. I guess it's gonna just get worse before it gets better :frown3:

DD drives me crazy with her boy situations. She's been seeing Kenny for a year now. She just met this other guy at fire school. She says he's really" hot" but isn't interested him in "that way" Yeah, right.
So last night when Kenny leaves she calls the other guy and they go out. Then she tells me if Ken calls tell him she went out with her cousin Jenna.
Why do I have to get in the middle of this? I prayed all night that phone didn't ring and it didn't :smile9:
OoooooYYYYYY!!!

I forget all the time that teenagers are supposed to be grumpy and somewhat rebellious, but I still get annoyed!!!
Teenage brains are so different, they have been compared to that of an alien. (Some scientific article I read somewhere.) :shocked2:

Okay...I have a question for all of you....been bugging the crap out of me for awhile now. How can two teenage girls, raised exactly the same way, by the same person, be so completely different?? I have an 18 year old who could be the poster child for good kids - makes good grades, helps me around the house, has great friends, always tells me where she is going and who she is with (yes, even now that she is 18), works in a daycare 5 days a week and earns her own money. Great kid! Now.....my 14 year old is a different story!! She argues with everything I say - doesn't matter if she agreed with me the day before - never tells me where she is going or who she is with (I always have to drag it out of her), only helps around the house when I threaten to take something away from her, is failing every class she is taking (freshman) except dance, has no interest in anything other than her friends (most of whom I don't like and don't trust), asks me for money almost every day even though she knows I am struggling (single mom) and accuses me of being a bad mother when I won't give it to her all the time. Ugh! Pulling my hair out here....! :)

You know, I think 4 years really makes a difference and the way kids 4 years ago were as opposed to how they are now has changed dramatically if that makes sense. My 14 year old sounds so much like yours except she is keeping her grades up because she wants to live...LOL. I have always been tough on her about that so she doesn't screw up there...keeping fingers & toes crossed)...but that attitude and laziness and thinking I owe her has GOT TO GO!! I think it is all about the friends they associate with!! My 10 year old is a lot like your 18 year old...helpful, kind, courteous, affectionate, giving...gee, she sounds like a puppy...LOL. Anyway, I know her time will come but at least for me, I am glad I have one that respects what I do as a mom.
Sorry I couldn't help more but rest assured, you are not alone!!
