I found a great recipe for tuna. It says to use albacore tuna though. I have some beautiful Ahi steaks I want to use. I have never made tuna before, so I am not sure if they are similar. It's just a marinade, so it should work, right?

OMG, I was looking on Food Tv website for a tuna recipe and actually saw a Tuna Martini recipe! I thought it was a joke until I read it. It was some sort of tuna salad thing layered in a martini glass. I was so dissappointed. :frown3:

Well, I think I found a new favorite in my house. My son is 6 and is the pickiest eater you will ever meet. He practically lives on pizza and spaghetti and the only thing he will take in his lunch is PB&J. It's soooo hard to get him to try new things and when he does, he usually does this whole overdramatic gag reflex thing.
Well, he devoured the tuna I made last night and said he liked it even better than pizza. I was floored! He won't even eat tuna from a can so I was shocked.

Oh my--this sounds so good--How did you fix the tuna? :gvibes: I haven't had fresh tuna in ages!

It was basically a teriaki marinade (soy sauce, sugar, fresh ginger, garlic, sesame oil, green onions and sesame seeds). Then I just grilled it. It was really good and I hate fish. I have never made tuna before, but saw it in the store and it looked really yummy. It's not something we usually get in our store but for some reason last week they had quite the assortment of weird seafood and such. Among the tuna, there were frog legs, lobster tails, and squid. Someone must have had a field day on that order.
