I received a 1099-Misc form from 'Cadbury Adams USA LLC' in the amount of $1,500. I'm trying to figure out which sweep this is for because I didn't win anything with an ARV of $1,500. There's an 800 number on the form that I'll call on Monday, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas as to which sweep this is from. Cadbury probably owns a few companies that hold sweeps. Any ideas at all?!?!

Did you win in 2004? There have been others posting that they got 1099's for 2004 that they claimed last year.

Cadbury owns Canada Dry Beverages. Familiar?

Well to get a 1099, you had to give someone your social security number...

I also thought that Cadbury was associated w/ hersey's

OK, finally figured it out. It was for this sweep (Dentyne Live it Loud): http://www.dentyne.com/dentyne.asp

I was thrown off because the ARV was $6,500. I went through the sweeps I won last year and fond in the documentation for the Dentyne sweep that they're owned by Cadbury. I didn't have to use the airfare, but was still expecting the 1099 to have a much higher amount on it. I think the value of the items I received was probably around $2,200. I was dreading the day I got the 1099 because I thought it was going to be for $6,500 and I'd have to work with them to get it lowed. Not only do I not have to worry about that, but it's far less than the value I received.....cool!

Wow, glad to hear someone won on that sweep! I was losing faith in Dentyne! Glad you came out good on the 1099!
