I heard this on the radio last week:
A man was at a Bank of America intending to rob it. He had wrtitten his stick-up note on a B of A deposit slip and then became worried that someone had seen him write it, so he went across the street to the Wells Fargo Bank and handed it to the teller.

She deduced by the numerous misspellings that he wasn't a rocket scientist and she handed back the note saying she couldnt accept it because it was written on a B of A slip and he would have to take it over there. And he did! He was arrested while standing in line at the B of A

I emailed that story to one of my fellow retirees who replied that the crook must have worked for our company

I heard this story too. The local radio station has unbelievable news stories in the morning. I probably heard that stupid thief story on my way to work.

This is probably nearly true. There was a report here awhile back that a really smart thief tried it with one of his own printed deposit slips, and then tried a getaway on a bicicle.Think he got to the corner..

skpaw,
Believe it or not, there are some really stupid people out there. Drugs not necessary! Maybe drugs were the cause... Who knows. :smile2:
