Baring major catastrophe, I will be there. Hubby is not going to this one, says we can't afford it. Probably right since our DD her hubby & the grandkiddies have moved in with us! But I am looking forward to the convention! Not happy about having to fly. I would rather drive, but can't spend that much time away from home now.

P.S. please explain what the word "shy" means that everyone is using. LOL!!!

I'll be going! I went to my first convention in Moline last year and it was ... interesting. Not what I had expected, not sure what I expected, but was surprised at how many attendees were snailers only. Didn't feel like we were speaking the same language... :nana:

Ha Ha, that's pretty funny. I'm becoming more online every passing day. Our sweepstakkes club is realy good because we are so diverse. Snail, phone, internet. Of course we really miss JesterPester. :(

I'm in my first year of sweeping & I was thinking about going but I had no idea it would book so quickly. I don't know anyone else who does this so I would have been traveling alone.

I missed the first 15 nationals because I did not know anyone and am on the shyer side until I know you. What a mistake I made. I went this year and the people who go are sooooo friendly and you quickly make tons of friends and guess what? A ton of them were first-timers and new to sweeping and went by themselves. Even if they didn't go themselves they openly welcomed you into their arms. I encourage all to attend and, hey, look me up if you know I'm going. I even rescued one woman in the parking lot who had no idea where to eat and we quickly became friends. I'm sure there are others who agree with me.

i still have that darn free airline ticket lol, wish i could have gone but no money for hotel so my butts flying to NYC instead of texas, thats if my daughter is okay with me coming. If i do go it will be May 5th, a 3day weekend for me finally :jump:
