I am 17 weeks pregnant and didn't really know I was pregnant until a couple weeks ago because I had no signs and regular periods. A couple of weeks ago I just had a feeling and made a doctors appointment which confirmed it. Because of the bleeding they wanted me to have a early sonogram. Yesterday the office called putting me on "pelvic rest" til about 30 weeks when they will do another ultrasound. I didn't really ask many questions while on the phone so I did some research. It sounds dangerous. Also I have a history of Gestational Diabetes. I'm guessing from what I've read they consider it partial precia at this point since I have not been put on bed rest. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had experience with both of these high risk factors together or even just the Previa. I'm very nervous about this and would appreciate any experiences please.

I had a partial placanta previa with DD #1 I was sooo upset that I would need a csection, no if ands or buts. Amazing, and I do mean amazingly - the doctor was shocked - in 3 weeks time my partial (almost complete) previa had resolved itself. It was first discovered around 16 or 17 weeks and by 20 weeks had cleared so there is some hope that the placenta may grow away from its current location. I hope things stay stable for you and CONGRATS! on the baby :toot:

Thanks Fidget. I will stay hopeful because cesarean sounds painful. Not to mention The fear of hemoraging to death and ANOTHER misscarriage. I wonder if the risks to the fetus might balance each other out a bit. Gestational diabetes= very large babies and Placenta previa= low birth weight. I hope my body can handle all of this at age 32. Sheesh!!

I so hope it does correct itself. For some reason I'm not looking forward to a c-section, can't imagine why. We still haven't told anyone except my mom because I've had 2 miscarriages since my son ,one was at 18 weeks. Staying positive here and getting excited! I can't believe I'm almost halfway there. THanks for the luck, I'm holding onto it!!
