I'm about to go on the road for a couple of weeks - how's the best way to pack my Robo to go? Can I just put the app and My Roboform data on a floppy and head out? Then install it at the destination computer?

I haven't found Robo Form to be portable. It's more of a plug-in, or browser helper than a stand alone application, very tightly integrated with Internet Explorer.

When I visited friends, I was allowed to download it and then uninstall it when I left...it's a pretty fast download and re-filling all the personal info was no big deal. Of course, the Custom Passcards feature, which *really* helps...is another story.

There may well be a way to move it...or at least the data for the custom passcards, but I don't know how. Sorry.

Right-Click on the Roboform icon in the System tray, Select Folder

This will indicate the current folder used to store your data. Default is: C:\My Roboform Data\username

Copy the folder to a floppy. After installing RF on a different computer copy the contents of the saved folder to the new folder.

Note: This is from version 4.3.7. There's a thread regarding issues with the newest version with a link to download the older versions.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks George, thanks Marnie!

I'll definitely give that a try Marnie. I'll post back later this week to supply my experience for future generations of transient roboform-ing sweepers. :)
