DH, son and myself will be in Wednesday evening so we can get our feet on the ground and ready to have a good time when registration starts up. We'll get an early peek at the vendor booths too before the crowds take over. We'll try to be at the OLS reception Fri night at the QI....

Well, it looks like I'm going to miss part of the convention due to the trip I won. It looks like it will either be from the 8-10th, or the 11-13th. If it's the latter, I'll probably go ahead and come up Wed so I can spend more time with everyone.

I have been trying to figure out if I could get there, even if just to stop in and meet some of you goofie friends, coming or going, but guess I must pass. The weekend is also the renunion of the Vietnam Sentry Dog Alumni in St. Louis and have much on my plate with that foray and Toledo, Chi-town, and Augie Buschtown are prolly just too much. Haven't been feeling too well and 4 days of medicinal alchohol, while traveling and partying could be the end of me. And the Monday after is not a detox option.
Do take bunches of pictures to post and share your new found techniques for winning Oscar Meyer Weiney Dolls and those DAMN EPrize instants. Pics from St. Louis Nam Sentry Dawg convention will prolly be unsuitable for viewing by those with reasonable sensibilities....
Have serious fun, KB, et al...and WE expect a full account with color 8x10 glossies, suitable for framing. Good grief. I'm trying to type on this little wireless fujitsu laptop I got to bring to the convention - my hand is bigger than the keyboard, and I'm going to have the delete and backspace key worn out before I even get to IL.

I'm so excited about the convention! I just started my "packing list". I have a standard one I use for most trips but this one has more interesting items like envelopes, stamps, postcards, etc, and someone mentioned Beads for the YAYA, ok I've got them too. I'm bringing a coffee maker (12 cup) because I can't handle those little ones they supply in the rooms and any of you coffee drinkers are welcome to stop by, but be warned I make sTrOnG coffee!! I wanted to bring my blender but thought that would be overkill unless someone convinces me to bring it. (hint?) BYoB/Mix and we could pretend we were on the Riviera Maya like the trip I went on (won) in January.

Is anyone else looking forward to a little pool time? Hope the weather is grand!!! I plan on sunning and swimming this fat body at least a couple of times for an hour or three. But if the parties stay hearty I won't be put off by not being able to get into the sun.

Don't forget your swim gear! The Friday night party might just spill into the pool area.

Question: I note on the Agenda that we are to wear something that we won on Saturday morning. If I won a trip, and bought something on the trip with my free travel card that I won, is that considered part of a win? Could I wear that and say it was part of a win or am I stretching it. Otherwise I only have an XM tee shirt. I'm certainly not going to wear my Shrek Beach Mat!!!! Any input will be appreciated!!!
