Hi all....
I found this site about a week or so ago and love it! I have some questions though....
1) I have entered so many sweepstakes, but everyone that I go into, I have to retype my name, address, etc, over and over again. It is discouraging to say the least, not to mention, time consuming. Is there a way that you don't have to enter all of this information over and over again?
2) Also, are there any shortcuts to entering these sweeps that I should know about?
3) Will I be notified by all sites if I win, or, do I have to recheck with sites? If I have to recheck with some sites, how do I organize and keep up with them?
thanks for all info. that I can use.....GOOD LUCK ALL!!!

1)If you have a PC, download roboform from http://www.roboform.com/ .
Most of us use the free version. You need to do a quick check before you submit as it isn't perfect. Some use Passcard feature as well as the Identity feature. By the way, my experience is that
entering your title such as Ms. isn't worth the trouble it causes so I leave that field blank in my identity. You may want to encode your zip code as 5 digit rather than 9 digit, but that's your choice.
If you use IE, enable autocomplete to provide some help. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu. Go the Advanced tab and make sure Use inline AutoComplete is enabled. This helps some in case Roboform doesn't quite do the trick and for an occasional odd field. You need to type in values the first time, but clicking enter or typing in the first letter will often allow you to select rather than retype.
Netscape 6 has a form helper but I have not found that to be of any use.
Quite a few websites are flash. If so, you need to type and tab as neither Roboform or the autocomplete feature are of any help.
Some people have other favorite programs. I suggest you avoid Gator as it is spyware and will generate lots of additional ads.
2) I don't know of any other than have multiple windows open. 4-6 is my optimum. Hitting control-n will open another copy of the current window and you can use it for whatever you want. Also, the forum and the main site automatically open the links in a new window.
A fast internet connection such as cable or DSL is a big plus. (I don't have one.)
Eliminate excess sweeps and keep organized so you're not entering expired sweeps. I sift thru the sweeps before I enter to make sure I really want to enter the sweeps.
Also, have a separate e-mail address for sweeps and develop techniques for dealing swiftly with all the spam.
3) Usually sites will notify you by e-mail, phone, instant win notification, mail, UPS or FedEx. You often need to contact the sponsor in a timely fashion once you receive your notification. Smaller prizes frequently arrive unannounced on your doorstep.
Occasionally, sites require that you review the winners list and notify them that you won. This isn't a common practice but check the rules. Usually the winners are individually notified whether or not their names are posted on site. You need to organize the best way to check back yourself. I usually skip this kind of contest unless I plan to make return trips to the site.
Rarely, people recognize the names on the winners' lists and ask people if they won in our forums.
BTW, you may want to use the search feature and look for Roboform and other software and tools. The Tips and Tricks section has good advice from other sweepers and there is a Tools section on the main site.
Best wishes and many wonderful wins.

You're welcome, Sandy.
:hello:
I think the rated sweeps are largely subjective. I don't think many of us take time to rate sweeps. On the main site, Brent's lists the editor's picks which may be of some help. Also, he breaks down the sweeps by Big Prizes and Lots of Prizes.
Some people starting out start with the Expiring Sweeps to make sure they get in at least one entry on a sweeps they're interested in.
If you haven't tried it, try putting the sweeps that you like and want to reenter in MySweeps. That's how I got started before I even learned about the forum.

Thanks Sue! I'm heading to the home page now. I have been entering all of the "expires soon" sweeps, but that is it.
I am SO GLAD that I downloaded that "fill in page"...WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! It was a real pain in the butt to fill out every form on every site! I was close to quitting sweepstakes because it wasn't worth all the aggravation..... Thanks again.

Hi Sandy and Welcome you will love this great group of people. the RoboForm is the best. I also use the Sweep! software is is free http://www.wavget.com/sweep.html I love it cause it tells me what day and time I entered you might want to look at this page http://www.online-sweepstakes.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=856&highlight=Sweep+roboform
it is an archived post from me when I first came to this forum this page contains some good advice on the use of both roboform and Sweep! (Sweep! is a program that has nothing to do with the MySweeps on our home page) It comes with a bunch of stuff on it that I just deleted and started fresh. Go to the archived page I have listed George did a great job explaining it to me. Just remember to save what you have entered to a different file or folder each day when you are through The free Sweep! program has a way of losing stuff sometimes. It has happened to us all. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and again Welcome!
