my wife (GreensThings) and i lost a very dear furbaby friend today, Miss Fiona had more then her share of health problems (cronic allergies, digestive disorders, asthma etc.) but she did surprize us and the vets by getting pregnant and carrying 5 kittens full term (3 survived) even though the vets thought she wasn't ever going to get pregnant because of her health and refused to spay her.She was a cuddle-kitty who's favorite place was a lap (any lap would do,she loved people in general but had a very special attachment to our youngest son.He is taking it very hard.
good-bye little angel

Thank you.
When I found Fiona in my garage, she was about 2 to 3 months old. Her first Bowel Movement in the potty box was all sticks and leaves. The Vet said then it was a miracle she was alive. She suffered her whole life with asthma (I had to give her an inhaler every day, and when her attacks got to bad I had to nebulize her). She was a tiny cat, at 4 years old, she was still mistaken for a kitten (as she was the size of a 4 month old kitten). because she was so small the Vet said he would not spay her, and that more than likely because of her asthma and her size she would not get pregnant anyway...a year ago she gave us the most adorable kittens (after escaping for a night from the house), But her health was never the same after that. Tonight she had such a bad asthma attack that not even nebulizing her helped and she passed away.

I am so sorry you lost your kitty. That is what happens when we truly love a pet, we are just lost when we don't have their company anymore. :grouphug: I hope you all feel a little better soon.

I would like to Thank Everyone for thier thoughts and Prayers. We buried Fiona today under some Pine Trees and put up a bird feeder and watering dish next to her grave (She loved watching the birds out the window)

So sorry to hear about your furbaby. It sounds like she was a real sweetheart! Although we give them love and food and caring and meds, the love and joy they give us in return is a greater gift. Thanks for taking care of her for so long. You gave her a wonderful life and I'm sure she appreciates it very much. :grouphug:

I know what you mean... seeing this outpouring and reading about the loss, reminds me of my little Smudge who did last year. She was only a couple of months old, a stray I found and love.

Several years ago my Mom and Dad buried their Kitty on top of their hill by a big rock and later they planted a bush nearby. I think it makes them feel a little less sad to know where she is, and that it is a nice place. :hugs:

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Fiona was very luck to have found you. I had (she passed away too) a diabetic cat, so I know a little something about cats that requires special care. Not everyone can/will do it. You gave her 4 years that she would never of had a chance at if she hadn't happened into your garage.
