No joke! I am happy! I found out I had a 1 centimeter kidney stone a few months ago that the doctors said I would never pass. Nobody would help me because my husband's insurance hadn't started yet. It acted up a few times and I would just take my anti-nausea and pain medications. Anyway, last night at 11:30 I had to go to the emergency room because the pain was so bad. We waited 4 hours just to be seen by the doctor. It turns out my stone is gone (just remnants left) and all I have is a kidney infection now!!! :gvibes: PLUS, we have insurance now, so no worries there!

My husband had an x-ray showing numerous large kidney stones in both kidneys. When he went to the specialist to see if they would be able to use a laser on them or if they would have to be surgically removed - they sent him for a CAT scan and they were GONE! That was 2 years ago. He did just pass a stone about a month ago and was in severe pain all of one day (but refused to go to the doctor of course). Hopefully your troubles are over and the insurance company won't slap a pre-existing clause on you! Glad you seem to have made it through the worst part!

Wow, that's tough! I'm glad you're getting better. I got a kidney infection 3 years ago and ended up in the emergency room. The pain/sickness was worse than giving birth! Hope things continue to look up, in meantime, drink alot of (yyuucckkk) cranberry juices.
Blessings!

and really happy for you that it is gone. I had to have kidney surgery a couple years ago because kidneys stones were to big to pass, but causing a whole lot of issues. The kidney with all the stones almost died, only had 5% function. Have a wonderful surgeon and he did a wonderful job, saved the kidney. Still form stones and pass them periodically, very painful and always end up with an infection. Have to live with this the rest of my life. But the plumbing works great now :) .

I'm glad your kidney stone is gone! I hope you get over the infection quickly. I had a severe infection last year, and that was the sickest I have ever been in my entire life...I shudder just thinking about it. I ended up at the hospital, too.

I really feel your health insurance PAIN!!!!! My DH is self-employed and when our health care got to be 1700.00 per month we had to cancell it It was either eat and pay our bills or have health ins.Wefinally found someone to insure us and its only 800.00 per mth. Sure was a relief. Our only med problems were our ages 51 and 54 and I have migraines and DH has high BP.The 1700 per month was 5000.00 deductible and paid nothing on nothing. :mad2:

It seems odd to see someone happy to have a bad kidney infection, but I understand that it is better than a kidney stone. Get Well Soon and I hope the infection is gone soon and you feel better. :hugs:

IT SO SAD THAT OUR SOCIETY IS SET UP THAT YOU MUST HAVE LOTS OF MONEY TO GET MEDICAL TREATMENT WHEN YOU'RE IN PAIN OR WHATEVER. YET WE SPEND BILLIONS ON THINGS THAT WE'LL NEVER HAVE... :worry:

You might be the first person in history to be GLAD to have a kidney infection!
Seriously, I'm glad that the worst of it is over. Even the infections are horrific, but with this kind of great attitude, you should heal in no time. Congratulations, honey! Feel better soon!
