Tomorrow is my "big day"

Feb 9th is not a good day for me.

In 1996, the cops came to our apartment to tell me that my mother was found dead in her bathtub.

Last year on Feb 9th, we rushed our daughter to the hospital. She was first misdiagnosed with a brain contusions then later found out the radiologist was in a hurry to leave so he just read it crappily. Of course, this was AFTER we were nearly accused of child abuse and then watched as they took her by ambulance to the children's hospital in Orlando.

SO, tomorrow I am hoping that since it'sthe begining of the new year (chinese) I can put the past to rest.

I go to a rhuemotologist to see if he can read the blood work and tell me what is wrong. I presume I have fibromaglia.. and hope it's nothing that serious.

If you think about it, say a prayer for goosey here around 9am EST. I could use the prayers and meditation becuase I'm still a wreck about all of it.

yeah, I know. I want to know what it is. It's probalby what you've been through. I get tired of doctors looking at you loko you grew a 3rd head or think that you are crazy. I am in PAIN, and been in pain for years. I don't want hydrocodine or vicadin, I want to know what is wrong and work from THERE!
I need pain medication but I know it's more than that.
But blood work always makes me nervous. It was done in December and the doctor's office never got back to me until after Jan 1 after we changed insurance. Then wanted me to come in for a follow up on waht they found. I couldn't afford the $50 office fee so told them I'd go to someone within the new system.

I just hope he knows what fibro is and he believes it's real and I don't leave there feeling like I wasted my money and time.

And I DO appreciate all the good vibes and prayers!

Well, I do have Fibro. The blood work all was normal from my other doctor, including Lupus, Lyme Disease, etc.

So, the rhumotologist put me on Wellbutrin, Lodine and Trazodone. The Lodine is for pain but it's pretty mild. I am hoping it works because I've been on vicadin in the past and that's about the lowest form of "pain medication" that has worked.

I'm going to go to a physical therapist too. I would like to go to acupunture again but not sure if that's included

Are you close to any big cities? You might want to do some research and see if there are any acupuncture schools in the area. There are 2 in Chicago that offer FREE acupuncture and massage therapy. It is a great service for the community and a fabulous way for the students to learn. Might be worth checking into, since cupuncture can be so d@mn pricey. If there are massage therapy schools around they usually offer discounted services as well, and reflexology/message therapy works wonders for fibro...

Wow that is really a good price!! I have paid $90-$110 for acupunture around here before i started going to school for it! Although it might cost more- if he offers you herbs, take them. Raw herbs are always cheaper and better then the pills, but harder to use. But the herbs coupled with the acupunture really work wonders for chronic illness!
