Hi all,
This week, starting tonight, I'm going to be giving the sweepstakes directory a long overdue makeover. The directory has been up for 2 months now and it's just gotten to the point where I need to fix it up a little bit. I wanted you guys to be aware of what I'm going to be doing just in case you see anything strange.
As most of you are aware, I upgraded MySweeps on Wednesday night. Now you must be a registered member of Online-Sweepstakes.com to use it. I also added several options to MySweeps that you can set to your own taste:
If don't use MySweeps at all, you can turn MySweeps off so that you don't see the "MySweeps" buttons next to the links.
For those of you who access (or are likely to access) MySweeps on more than one computer or access MySweeps on a public computer, there's a new Multiple-Login option that you can set once and forget about. It's much improved over the way the previous Multiple-Login option worked.
By default, MySweeps will now display your list of sweeps in an abbreviated form with only a minimal amount of information displayed (no rules, prize description, ect.). If you prefer to see all the details for each sweep (the same info you see in the directory), you'll have to change the "MySweeps Display" option to 'detailed'.
Also by default, MySweeps will now display your list of sweeps with 15 on each page. You can change that number on the options page to 10 - 50 (in multiples of 5) or you can chose to have all of them (per category) displayed at once.
All of the options are now saved on the server.
There are a few quirks that you should be aware of:
If you have a list of MySweeps split into more than one page (15 per page by default) and you remove one of them, the sweep that should be the first one on the next page will have moved to the previous page (taking the place of the one you removed) and you won't see it on the next page. The best thing to do (until I come up with a work around) is to reload the page after you remove a sweep(s).
MySweeps does not save any additions or deletions you make to your list until you go to a MySweeps page, (or load/reload another MySweeps page if you're in MySweeps when you remove a sweep(s)). I'm going to make this much easier in the coming week, but keep in mind, that no changes to MySweeps are saved on the server until you load any MySweeps page after you make those changes.
This next week should be a big week with lots of changes and improvements coming. If you have any problems/comments/suggestions, let me know. :smile4:
