So who do you think will win it this year? I'm thinking either Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart.

DEI 1,2,3 Sorry, but unless they get into a wreck with someone that can't drive then they will have good finishes. Hendrick cars will be in the top 10 though.

Dale Jr. or Michael Waltrip

He was really consistent last year, that's why I'm thinking it could be his year. :) I really would like to see Mark Martin win it, but, there's another driver out there that's going to be really tough this year...Ryan Newman. He had 9 DNF's and still finished, I believe, 7th. That's one heck of a feat! Not to mention the 9 poles he got last year. But like you said, time will tell. I see one of NASCAR.com's writers is picking Jimmy Johnson.

I guess I'm an underdog kind of person....Dale Jarrett's car was looking awesome during his runs last week....he was holding his own towards the end last season and I think he's gonna keep it up in 2005.

I'm going with Jeff Gordon or Jimmy Johnson. I do think that Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman will do good this year though. :cool2:

Well.. let's see.. Tony won the Gatorade duel, then the Busch race.. I think its gonna be a sweep for him.. Tony all the way today! I think Jr, harvick and Waltrip are gonna finish in the top 5. :-)

I like Jr but Tony is my driver and while I think Jr is going to do really well this year too, I think Tony may win his 2nd championship this year.. hes the one to watch (for more reasons than his driving  :wink2: :smile7: )

I thought Tony looked awesome yesterday. He led most of the race, just wasn't up there for the last one.

GO Smoke!

Ya know.. I blame dale jr for the loss.. if he would have helped tony (like tony helped him last year after leading most of the race) then they would have had a 1-2 finish.. dale was my 2nd fave driver.. now.. hes my least.

thanks 97towin and yes it was a great race in fact in my opinion if there woulda been 2 laps left at the checkered your boy woulda beat jeff ---- he was fast all day just like jeff

i didn't think i would have 20 peeps here all week but since some of the motels/ hotels in the area are still closed or being torn down due to the canes i did

some peeps here have mentioned jr should have pushed stewart thru the checkered but i disagree its the 500 and if you can pass on the outside go for it i am sure tony woulda tried the same thing last year if he had the car that coulda done it

your busch lad will have another great season kiddo :smile9:

Thanks for the congrats about KB. I was thinking, 2nd in points, coming out of Daytona was pretty good! I'm thinking Jeff Gordon will take the championship this year but Kurt will definitely be a contender! :)

About Jr. and Stewart, I understand what your saying, it's every man for himself, but Tony helped Jr. last year. I just thought Jr. should've returned the favor. I don't know if you taped the race and watched Junior's interview at the end but he sure seemed pretty sheepish during the interview. I think he might have regretted not helping Tony. JMO You'll have to check it out and see what you think.

About the hurricaines, I thought everything was back to normal? It seems like there should be more going on to raise money for everybody there in Florida, instead, of sending aid else where! What a shame! JMO
